You gotta Fight, For your Right, to PARRTAAYY and Parade Info

Tomorrow we party harder than we’ve ever partied before. It’s going to be wild. It’s going to be brazen. It’s going to be the Greatest Celebration KC has ever known. Wanna know how I already know tomorrow is going to epic?

The PreGame has already begun baby

Now I do feel obligated to say a few things here. I want you, AG wants you, to live your dang life to the fullest but we also need to keep current laws and safety in mind. Please don’t drink and drive, it’s not worth it. If you see any suspicious activity, contact local law enforcement immediately. Also if you or someone you know is going to bring children to the event(s) make sure they give the child a card with their contact information on it. I guess KCPD dealt with this issue during the Royals Parade and 100+ kids got temporarily lost. Apparently there will be 7 stations set up to help reunite parents and lost kids if this happens, just be aware.

Alright enough with that, on to more details. So KC has designated https://www.sportkc.org/chiefsparade#Watch to be the official info source for the Parade. There’s a ton of good info here, including bus schedules, road closures, where the unification stations are located and so on. It’s worth your time to check it out and plan ahead. Now for our AGers that can’t make it to the party.

HOW TO WATCH

KSHB-TV 41 Action News (the local NBC Affiliate) is the official broadcast partner for the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade. The celebration will air live on KSHB-TV 41 / NFL Network and stream on KSHB.com and NFL.com

The parade and rally will be shown live on the KC Live! Block screen. Avoid traffic and check out free live music with Lost Wax at KC Live! after the rally. Families are welcome to this free event. KC Live! opens at 8 a.m.

Everyone be smart and have a great time. This one is going to be one for the story books.

LETS GO!!!!

This season mirrored that 1969 team quite a bit. QB goes down for a few games, comes back and defeats the best defense in the NFL to win the Super Bowl.

Accepted penalties in the Super Bowl- 1 Defensive Offsides (KPass), 4 False Starts (2 on LDT, one on Staley, one on Sanders), 1 Neutral Zone Infraction (Solomon Thomas), 1 Offensive Holding (Pringle), 1 Offensive Pass Interference (Kittle) and 1 Defensive Pass Interference (Moore)

Declined penalties- Ineligible man downfield (Fisher), and Defensive Offsides (E.Mitchell)

The zebras swallowed their whistles in this game. This is how games should go.

This crew (or at least crew chief, not sure how they do SB crews) called the fewest penalties per game of any crew this year, so that should have been expected

Felt good not to see a game bogged down by a load of yellow laundry.

Agreed. And it could be added that the players were coached up/conscious not to commit egregious fowls. The Chiefs Special Teams were plagued by penalties during the regular season. Sure: Pringle got called for holding but Toub must have readied his guys for the playoffs and they did well.

Yep. Watching tonight I saw a couple that they let slide for both teams. I thought they did pretty well at calling things that really mattered

Could have let the Kittle OPI go, but other than that it was very good. It helped that both teams probably just weren’t doing much, if any holding at the line, or grabbing the secondary.

I thought the Kittle OPI was one of the easiest calls to make, the space he created with the arm extension was drastic.

Used Mrs. BRaG as my culinary guinea pig tonight, and she upchecked my patty melt concept: Two frozen cheesy texas toast slices prepared as recommended with the cheese sides facing the burger. Added mushrooms, mayo, and some steak sauce, and she likes it.

That Kelce video is great because Sherman was holding it while wearing Macho Man goggles.

Fisher, Reid, and Mahomes – together they limited the impact of Bosa – the marquee SF player. Fisher was outclassed but gave some major effort to slow Bosa. He was never outright embarrassed as some tackles would be. Reid ran the ball enough to limit Bosa and had several different players chip at Bosa for a large part of the game. Mahomes is a master of escaping pressure and made life difficult for Bosa and the others to try and catch him. In my opinion, Bosa had one play of great impact – the strip sack which Mahomes, unlike Cam Newton, dove on without hesitation. Bosa had a good game but, together, they kept him from having a dominant game. Schwartz held Ford in check and the interior did surprisingly well. Run blocking across the line was pretty decent as well. Perhaps, the Niners should have blitzed more but that is not their modus operandi. We still need an upgrade on the line but they get a solid score from me.

Bosa was held all game. That’s what I’ve been hearing from 49ers fans anyway. Didn’t see him held at all the 2 times I’ve re-watched it, but that’s just me.

Yeah, Bosa was supposedly “mauled” on that 3rd & 15 throw, but I was banned by NN after posting a GIF showing no such thing.

Not the first time the Chiefs had to defeat the best defense in the NFL to win a Super Bowl. In SB 4, the Chiefs had to defeat an early incarnation of the Purple People Eaters.

Any chance Colquitt retires? He is the longest-tenured Chiefs player ever and finally won the Super Bowl. I will never forget when he said that he talked to his dad and how special it is to spend your career with the same team.
