There may be 23 teams, but only 23 had punters who qualified for the list as I limit it to those with 2.5 punts per game. That means several, including the Chiefs’ Tommy Townsend, didn’t punt enough to make the list. That’s a good thing.
For those who did have offenses bad enough to punt 3 or more times, Washington’s Tress Way leads the way. Way is closely followed by the Raiders’ AJ Cole, who Derek Carr graciously allowed to punt 6 times.
On the other side is Baltimore’s Sam Koch. Is it a coincidence that the the Raiders, with one of the top punters, beat the Ravens, with the worst? Probably yes.
