Welcome to 1-0 NFL Week 2: Who’s Next?

The Kansas City Chiefs are 1-0 after defeating Cleveland at Arrowhead. NOW — Arrowhead Guys asks, “Who’s Next?” as we get ready to roll into Sunday Night Football. Join AG to discuss. Go Chiefs!

Hello Arrowhead Guys. Have things returned to normal for you? Has the blood settled back in and the emotion died down yet? Maybe this will help, your Kansas City Chiefs are 1-0 and Patrick Mahomes is the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the sixth time in his NFL career. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Brons are on their way back home to take on the Houston Texans at Noon on Sunday where I’m assuming they’ll pick their W back up and become the Browns again. But “Who’s next?” for the Kansas City Chiefs and when is the game?

The Chargers? Not quite yet Kelce.

We got you, Travis!

Does Sammy Watkins know?

Are there previews available? Bet!

Is there a Madden simulation? Bitches love Madden simulations!

OK, But does Harold Kuntz have random any facts?

Can the Purdy Posse wait for this game? No—they cannot.

Will Clark and Mathieu play?

But what does Marc Sessler think?

But can Nick Bolton play LB?

Who’s Next?

The Baltimore Ravens

Conclusion

Now, there’s a lot to talk about with this game. Obviously, there’s the Sammy Watkins connection and the Orlando Brown Jr. connection. But the game isn’t until Sunday so we can dive into some of these other topics as we roll forward. Today, I’d like to point out that the Ravens were winning the game against the Raiders 14-0 at one point, and the Raiders ended up winning 33-27. This isn’t pointing out anything positive about the Raiders, fuck Da Raiders. It’s to point out that the Ravens were also in the Browns situation. Winning the game only to find themselves 0-1 when it was ALL over. Ouch. . .

Nevertheless. . .

This Ravens team is going to be at home and hungry to win Sunday Night. From what I witnessed about them, they have a lot of weapons on offense and defense. Even Justin Houston picked up a sack! So we’ll see some old friends on Sunday Night, but at the end of the game–How do the Chiefs come out of Baltimore 2-0?

Time’s Yours

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the team has “four backs in the mix” and will “play all those guys” moving forward.Harbaugh danced around Ty’Son Williams’ concerning second-half usage from Monday night and instead used the time to tout all four — Latavius Murray, Devonta Freeman, Le’Veon Bell, and Williams — of the team’s backs. Bell and Freeman haven’t made it to the active roster just yet, but Baltimore is expected to use one of its two vacant spots to call at least one of them up ahead of Sunday. Williams was clearly the better back when on the field, averaging 7.8 yards per touch, but will presumably be in a timeshare moving forward. Him and Murray should still be considered low-end RB2/3s in Week 2’s inevitable shootout against the Chiefs.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS ARE LEGIT CONTENDERSBuy or sell?: SellThe Steelers may have upset the Buffalo Bills on the road, but there was one big red flag with the surprising W: The performance from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Big Ben’s arm is nowhere near where it needs to be. The ability to accurately throw the ball into tight windows with any zip or touch is simply not there. Throw in the lack of mobility, and defenses will feast on the veteran quarterback in 2021.
Roethlisberger produced two turnover-worthy plays trying to make something happen on the move, and he had twice the number of negatively graded throws than positively graded ones. As a result, he finished with a 38.0 PFF grade, last among all quarterbacks in Week 1.
On top of all of this, Pittsburgh also has the hardest remaining schedule among the 32 NFL teams. The defense and coaching staff remain great, but as long as their quarterback situation is like this, any talk of them contending for the Lombardi Trophy is a non-starter.

No one should be talking Lombardi Trophy right now, and that includes us. I’m done with all the rah-rah stuff. Baltimore will be a serious test for the guys, especially on the road. We still suck against the run and that’s their game. Need to put a spy on Lamar, force him to throw.

Agreed. There are no free victories. We’ll have to go out and earn it.

1. CLEVELAND BROWNSWeek 1 saw Cleveland finish with two of the best-graded linemen in the NFL: left guard Joel Bitonio and right tackle Jack Conklin. The Browns’ line as a whole finished with the highest grade in Week 1, and it collectively was flagged for only one penalty. The lone possible concern? Wyatt Teller’s performance was just average at best following his dominant 2020 season that came out of nowhere. Cleveland will be hoping this off day was the blip as opposed to his entire 2020 season.

Well I guess the best Offensive Line does not make you 1-0?

I’m wishing all the teams we played had a W in their name, this is kind of fun.
Next up Baltimore, 2-0 going into the chargers game … chiefs!!!!!!!!!!

If this Justin Houston is anything like he was in the mid-2010s when he played for us, our line is going to be in for another test (well, one side of it, anyway). Excited to see how they handle the challenge.

Btw, the whole calling them the ‘Brons’ because they don’t have a ‘W’ yet is hilarious.
