THE LIST (81-90)

WOW – Everyone let me have it as I disrespected the Allman Brothers with too low of a rank and gave too much love to Black Oak Arkansas.  Go EAFOX Go EAFOX.  I love and appreciate all of the feedback – I hope that trend continues.  Here is our next set of ten.

#90 – Bill Haley and The Comets

#89 – Derek and The Dominoes

#88 – Sly and The Family Stone

#87 – Tommy James and The Shondells

#86 – The Mamas and The Papas

#85 – The Dave Clark Five

#84 – Buddy Holly and The Crickets

#83 – The Band

#82 – The Clash

#81 – Sex Pistols

Commentary: The list has some top notch artists from the fifties and sixties, culminating with the super legendary The Band.  We end this set with two of the iconic punk band artists – close battle between these two – I had switched them back and forth several times.  I will guess that I will get the most flak for Derek and The Dominoes being so low.  I will also guess that there will be fear and trepidation that the rest of the list will be a feature on the stars of these early decades but not true.  Hope you keep coming with your thoughts and comments.

I would not have Derek & the Dominoes or The Sex Pistols in the top 100.

And you have not listed a band formed in the last 35 years yet. Either you are really higher on some of those bands, or you are omitting some great artists.

You should keep all the artists you have already revealed on the list for ease of use. Once you get into the 30’s, I won’t be able to remember where everyone was ranked.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
