Into The Afternight: Our 3rd Shift O/T
7 repliesIf you’re still up and want to talk Chiefs, or just hang with fellow citizens of the Kingdom, this is the place.
One of the things I most hate about the Ancient Aliens charlatans is that they consider ancient humans to be idiots who couldn’t do anything intelligent without outside guidance.
That’s a patently false position, as if that were the case, the outside guidance would be required for every significant discovery or invention. Of course, their fans seem to fit that very mold, so I suppose it could affect the flim-flammers’ views, but when you have to lie to produce a ‘documentary’, you’ve already sold out, like that Sicko, Michael Moore.
With that, time’s yours.
This isn’t porn, as I hope is obvious. It’s straight-up history, but history isn’t always serious.
Today having been what it was, I can’t really bury this, so if you want to discuss this, email me, and we’ll talk. Ask Nasrani, since we are friends who are not separated by some disagreements on certain points. I’m going to be brave, and poke the hornets’ nest. *Deep breath,* Are you ready? I’m not, but let’s go.
Hawt Taek: If the Dobbs decision overrules Roe v Wade, that’s not as bad as it may appear. Hear me out, because my premise is that rather than settling the issue, and slogans aside, Roe failed to settle the issue. Homosexual marriage is no longer controversial, and as for transgenders, we have yet to see the predicted wave of pedophiles in public bathrooms. Those are basically settled issues. Roe is a half-century old, but it’s still not settled, never has been.
If a “solution” has been hotly contested for that long, isn’t it time to step back and review? I mean, it’s kinda too late, now that we’re overrun by advocates signaling virtue, but I think the unwanted side-effects of Roe have caught up with us, and rather than bitterly fighting, we need to talk about how to do it better. Activists are the symptom, not the cure.
Two things I won’t discuss on social media are religion and politics, however I will upvote your common sense comment.
The Royals need to win 21 games in a row. It can be done
That would be nice. As for myself, tonight was game 2 for the Wild, and after getting hammered before, this time they held the hammer.
