Into The Afternight: Our 3rd Shift O/T
112 repliesIf you’re still up and want to talk Chiefs, or just hang with fellow citizens of the Kingdom, this is the place.
Feel free to continue UDFA discussions in that thread, but I’m running this early, as a more general forum.
FYI, his segment with the flatware set is basically skippable, since it comes with a lecture that reminds me of my father, on a good day. Other than that, it’s interesting for the process and chemistry involved.
With that, time’s yours.
So apparently the USFL is a lot different than the NFL. I see Jeff Fisher won a game.
😃
I’ve watched this 20+ times, and so should you
while his confusion is understandable, minimal research would have clarified
Dumb Russians
(CNN)Russian troops in the occupied city of Melitopol have stolen all the equipment from a farm equipment dealership — and shipped it to Chechnya, according to a Ukrainian businessman in the area.
But after a journey of more than 700 miles, the thieves were unable to use any of the equipment — because it had been locked remotely.
Over the past few weeks there’s been a growing number of reports of Russian troops stealing farm equipment, grain and even building materials – beyond widespread looting of residences. But the removal of valuable agricultural equipment from a John Deere dealership in Melitopol speaks to an increasingly organized operation, one that even uses Russian military transport as part of the heist.

we just picked up 7 new players and not one comment about football, so far tonight
I’m in the wrong place
You need to learn to scroll. There’s some, but after three days of draft overload, I think a lull is to be expected.
watching baseball, Nascar and now midway
afterglow?
after these picks, UDFAs are even more of an afterthought than usual.
Checking out highlights of some of the UDFAs.

Good evening AG
Dinner and Ozark,
I’ll be back
or Saul
Finished ozark last night..
I need to watch the last season. I’m just so behind on a lot of shows right now so who knows when I’ll actually get around to it.
We’ve been busy discussing the draft – and rightly so – but let’s not forget that today is Sunday, and that means Sunday Funnies. While I certainly don’t want to step on Pompano’s toes, as he handles Sunday’s threads with aplomb, I also want to spread the word about “Just Shoot Me!,” a show that I think has incredible comedic timing and amazing repartee between the characters.
Loved that show.
FWIW I was willing, but we figured there would be little interest on draft weekend with UDFAs and whatnot.
Also, thanks.
This is my favorite show of all time.
Re: the Sunday thread, I figured you had something in mind but I agree that the draft/UDFA tracking takes precedence.
I shout just shoot me many times daily:)
and then
haha
Russian propaganda is horrible
If Ukraine had those weopans 2 months ago….
saw RU state TV blaming Biden, and thanking the last guy for 4 yrs of letting them do stuff…
That’s the Russian media for ya. I don’t remember them expanding their territory, or even trying to those four years like they did before and after. They would love nothing more than to see America continue down our path with the severe infighting amongst ourselves, near record setting inflation, shortages of about everything, defunding police, opening the borders, shutting down access to natural resources, and all the other crazy stuff. The result is that it makes us and our military weaker, which is all to their advantage.
no need to invade with an admin denigrating and threatening EU and signaling NATO exit,
Objectives met w/o a shot fired.
The rest is on us (with the help of RU/Q social campaigns)
Do I need popcorn?
You have got to be kidding. If anyone’s military has been made weaker it’s russia’s. Unbelievable.
open borders, wtftm and inflation have 0% impact on military preparedness
does if you have no Oil
WWII was the 1st of the Wars over Oil possession
subsuquent wars will be over food producing areas
water (needed for food)
I’m in San Diego this weekend. Didn’t notice a flood of immigrants coming through here. The open border narrative is BS.
Eh, I think it’s not so much of a preparedness argument as it’s a “if the tree is rotten from the inside” one
fair
a halt on new drilling leases does not shut off access.
yes, of the 9000+ active unused leases less than 1/2 are viable economically at $30 per barrel, hence price fixing.
New wells will not solve the problem, they want to continue the cycle indefinitely
This here. Big oil’s propaganda machine and supply manipulation to maintain ridiculously high prices is almost as bad as De Beers for diamonds
worse, w/o oil society collapses…w/o diamonds less bling
(I understand you mean market manipulation, but only one is necessary)
the coal industry in the US would not exist w/o gov’t subsidies, socialism?
Well, the coal industry’s dying due to gov’t action. Specifically, Obama, who saw to it that the emission standard was impossible to meet, even with the best technology had to offer. That’s the opposite of a subsidy, and coal’s been going away ever since.
Which led to the great pivot, not to all those “shovel-ready Green jobs”, which didn’t exist, but to natural gas, which is more reliable than “renewables”. If he were serious about the climate, he’d have turned to fission before killing coal. But that’s a taboo science, to the Left.
Emission standards for coal are bad, no matter
Investments into renewables (nukes aside) never really happened when it shroud have, 20+ yrs wasted
that makes no sense..or too much ….i’m out
have the Chiefs signed every single possible warm body jag UDFA yet?
when is kickoff?
Priest Holmes says “How about some respect?”
Yahoo gives us an A-. What I like most is the constant upward trend form 2019 until now.

I posted the “seal of approval” below.
HA! Took me a minute
I prefer to “reserve judgement” until after a season (or two) … “grading” the draft (as it happens, no less) is just assessment of potential (and those assessments can be wildly different [and reality is usually even far more different than initial assessments {see: Holmes, Priest}])
Oh, NOW he gets respect….
We all know that it takes time to really know how good a draft is, but I seems reasonable to say that as of now they did a pretty good job without any huge reaches… like taking a RB in the first round…
Last bad pic we made ..
cept maybe Chenal
how is he going to be used?
SAM from the sound of BVs presser
that excites me
Chenal flanking the Greek 🙂
Chenal, Bolton, and Gay on the field at the same time is something I’m really looking forward too
Lynch, Lanier, Marsalis
This…^ .. I can’t wait either…. Wish we could fast forward through summer..
That was great.
This was an enormously powerful storm – and luckily (or through divine intervention, preparation, or any combination thereof), no deaths and only four injuries were reported.
seems Andover should move out of the Tornadoes usual path
improved advance warning has saved many lives
