Into The Afternight: Our 3rd Shift O/T
30 repliesIf you’re still up and want to talk Chiefs, or just hang with fellow citizens of the Kingdom, this is the place.
Where’d the time go? It’s like I close my eyes and ten years have got behind me.
I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round, I really love to watch them roll with the changes.
With that, time’s yours.
Ag smokers crowd should make some BBQ videos.I would be all about them.
they had a lot of issues with the bell.
late 1950’s tech that is now a buzz word to sell clicks.
these things end up where your in your bosses boss office.
Shout out to the 1star guy (or gal) before I crash,
never change 🙂
‘nite all
That last video is awesome! My ancestors migrated to the US in the 1870’s my grandfather owned a shoe repair store after he got back from the military as did my father. I grew up doing that stuff. Didn’t know that’s a thing again, it became a disposable society.
beeYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOtiful full moon, wish I had a decent camera … someday, maybe
Barn-burner of a finish for the Wild’s 6th win. Matt Dumba’s shot crossed the line with just 0.3 seconds left. In overtime. Took a bit before it became official, because duh, but the Kings’ goalie didn’t need to wait. I wonder if he broke his stick when he slammed it against the pipes. I’m glad we won, but I feel for the guy, he stood tall between the pipes for almost long enough to give his shooters a chance to win. Almost.
Ouch.
Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so.
So is overtime, for the month or two following that damned speeding ticket.
I myself get that feeling sometimes… Like I missed the starting gun.

I’m rather surprised you didn’t comment of my oh-so-cleverly mixed & mangled lyrics gems. I am disappoint.
as mangled as I am and I’m supposed to criticize? child, please! old n it’s late n brain-dead … how’s Mrs BRaG?
Old, alive, and unfortunately for her, her brain pain is very much alive. To the point where tomorrow she might request transport back for re-evaluation. Fate clearly loves me…the sadistic bitch.
Mrs Brag is lucky to have you. It’s a pain in the ass for those around us when we get sick.
Yes, she is, actually, because on top of that I have a significant track record of making her laugh at least once a day. Or groan in appreciation, at least, when it comes to my puns. As I re-worded that classic old song,
I’ll give you a bad joke a day dear,
I’ll give you a bad joke a day
I’ll pun you until
The rivers run still
And if you can’t guess what comes next, go away.
Hospital stays suck. A little light humor and cuddling in bed with her is not going to piss most medical staff off. Some are better than others.
Where’d the time go?
it’s called “The Past”
time time time look what’s become of me
While I looked around for my possibilities
I was so hard to please
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Seasons change in their scenery
Weaving time in a tapestry
Won’t you stop and remember me?
Fudge… it’s only Saturday. Oh wait…
it’s Sunday somewhere … and might even still be Friday someplace for all I know
It’s still 5PM, somewhere.
This was fascinating, and it eventually ties into KC.

This one’s also interesting, and merits some preceding comments. We’ve essentially had a phantom flu season, and while the article discusses a couple of potential reasons, IMO it’s both, plus the distribution lines for its spread being disrupted at a key point in the timeline. However, what can’t be overlooked is that the protocols, etc, eliminated tens of thousands of fatalities and hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations due to influenza. That cannot be ignored when doing the Covid math.
