“Fish on Ice”

(A Chiefs’ poem) – 2023-24 NFL playoffs, Wildcard week, Jan. 12, 2024 – KC vs. MIA)

“Fish on Ice”

Nothing beats fish on ice.
Freshest seafood can be nice.
Tastier than frozen fish,
Fish on ice makes one fine dish.

Nothing beats fish on ice,
Save when Chiefs and Dolphins play.
As we saw in Germany,
Chiefs can get the victory.

Wildcard week, what a thrill
Dolphins have to face the chill.
Chiefs can rise and play on fire,
Racking scores up higher and higher.

Arctic winds, winter storm,
Dolphins struggle to keep warm.
Fish on ice at Arrowhead
Makes them wish that they were dead.

See those men huddled near.
No Miami heatwave here!
Coldest game in history
For the Dolphins and KC.

Playoff games bring the best.
Chiefs will rise to pass this test.
After bitter cold and frost,
Many scores Pat will have tossed!

See mad Pop run the ball.
Angry at the ground, recall.
He will gain yards on the ground,
Hitting Dolphins – smash and pound.

And our D – stellar men,
Stopping Fins yet once again.
Tua will have stress galore!
Go Chiefs’ D, and stop their score!

Nothing beats fish on ice.
Nothing, but the Chiefs precise.
They can beat the Dolphins still,
With or without Tyreek Hill.

Dropping temps, coldest game.
Chiefs have fire, all the same.
Playoffs this week will begin.
I’ve got KC for the win.
