AG Power Rankings:
5 repliesAround a third of the season is done, so we are starting to get a good idea on who teams are. So we’ll start at the bottom and work our way up…
The Basement dwellers. Or more accurately, the hole under the basement dwellers:
32: Los Angeles Chargers (0-6,) – They now own the spot they deserve. Where are those talking heads now???
31: Miami Dolphins (0-5,) – They move up one because the Chargers have one more loss then them.
30: Indianapolis Colts (2-4) – They fired the GM… but that was maybe a few years too late to do anything about this season
29: Tennesee Titans (1-5) – They won one!
28: Philadelphia Eagles (2-4) – They are pulling a Charger move and getting wiped out, but took it a step further and lost their QB too.
27: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-5) They had a chance against the Steelers, but managed to unfinish the game and lose
26: Dallas Cowboys (2-4) – Pretty sad division with they are 2-4 and still can be considered the favorite to win the division
25: New York Jets (2-4) – They’ve moved up a little bit, but still nothing to get excited about
24: Los Angeles Rams (2-4, LW #19) – They lost to Arizona. Is this what a dream team is supposed to do?
We need to start a new category… How about “The basement stairs”:
23: Washington Commanders (1-4-1) – They aren’t commanding much, but the tie is keeping them from moving down
22: Arizona Cardinals (2-4) – They should move to LA – they win more there than the LA teams do
21: New York Giants (3-2-1) (that’s not a countdown – its their record!) – The coach can’t admit he’s benching Skattebo because of his fumbles. What’s up with those Harbaughs anyways?
20: New Orleans Saints (2-4) – Not much to say here.
New category – The boring teams:
19: Atlanta Falcons (2-4) – They are kind of all or nothing. Too much of the nothing is landing them here.
18: Las Vegas Raiders (3-3) – Losing 3 straight will land you here.
17: Pittsburg Steelers (4-2) – They may be getting things worked out, and doing better than I expected
16: Cleveland Browns (4-2) – I can’t believe I have them this high, but they are earning it.
15: Green Bay Packers (4-2) – They seem to be riding their defense a bit, but that’s a proven way to succed in this league
Potential Playoff Teams:
14: Houston Texans (2-4) – They are working their way back from the hole they dug. They aren’t as reliant on their defense as in the past, getting a little more balance
13: Carolina Panthers (3-2) – They to be getting some consistency this year
12: Detroit Lions (3-2) – They can’t afford too many loses with the Bears and Vikings in their division
11: Chicago Bears (4-2) – They got their QB back, may be ready to make some noise
10: Seattle Seahawks (3-3) – Sam Darnold has been a turnover machine.
9: Denver Broncos (4-2) – They beat Seattle ugly, Time will tell if they are lucky or decent
8: Baltimore Ravens (4-2) – They lost to the Browns, but are trying to hang on until they get their QB back
7: New England Patriots (4-2) – They seem to be looking upward now.
6: Cincinatti Bengals (3-2) – They are getting ready to begin their plummet with Burrow getting injured soon and tougher competition ahead in their schedule.
5: Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) – They have that England game behind them, we’ll see how much the travel affects them this week
The good teams that showed they were good:
4: Minnesota Vikings (5-0) – Another team riding their defense
3: Buffalo Bills (5-1) – They are getting by some games they shouldn’t. It should catch up with them eventually
2: San Francisco 49r’s (6-0) – They almost lost to the Commanders, and have been abnormally healthy for them this time of the year. There’s still a lot of season left, but they are playing good ball.
1: Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) – They’re going through some injury woes and still doing the job, and also showing they can win close games and close games out, which was missing last year.

I would probably put SF on top due to having one more win than us.
However, I’m not going to argue we’re not the top dog.
Chhhiieefffssss!!!
They get deducted for celebrating Super Bowls wins too early.
