Winners And Losers: Chiefs Vs. Chargers
4 replies🎶five and oh-oh-oh-ohhh… oh-oh-OH-oh🎶 Tomahawk Chop.
Welcome to winners and losers!
Let’s get started, alright now.
Winners:
Kenneth Walker
He now leads the NFL with 665 yards, in one game less. Is Andy Reid coaching this team? he’s a permanent fixture in this column.
George Karloftis
He had 10 pressures, 6 tacles, 2 batted passes, a sack, 2 tackles for a loss… He was on a terror.
The Chiefs
They now are working on controlling the AFC West, but also the AFC. They are in the top 5 of the league in multiple categories in both offense and defense, and have become a very well rounded offense.
Patrrick Mahomes: While he didn’t have any TD’s, he passed for 272 yards. he had the one mistake on the interception, but moved the offense down the field consistently most of the game, and make the calls to help get K9 sprung for many of his runs!
Special Teams – NOT!!!
Jack Cochran
He’s had some ups and downs, but a 48 yard pass interception will land him here!
Xavior Worthy: He stepped up well for the two missing recievers getting 73 yards recieving.
Actually, the Defense as a whole: They did a pretty good job regardless of the holes the special teams dug for them.
Honorable Mention: L’Jarius Sneed, Chris-Roland Wallace
Losers:
Special teams:
missed extra points, field goals, a couple fumbles… yup that will end you up here.
Harrison Butker
He was once ‘ol reliable. for the last 3 years, not. Its getting about time for a few of the special teams regulars to get their walking papers.
The Chargers.
Half their team is injured, starting four rookies on the o-line, LA wants to give them back to San Diego (who don’t want them)… Jim Harbaugh must have stepped under a ladder and broke a mirror or something.

I never got the Karlaftis hate. Yeah the numbers weren’t there last year but thats what happens when you have no help on the pass rush. (and yes Im a Chris Jones hater now. Hate is a strong word. Lets say hes well past his prime) Karlaftis consistently makes smart plays on screens, he never quits until a play is over, smart about batting passes, doesn’t get washed out on rushes, maintains the edge. Does he suck in coverage? well yes but thats spags fault for putting him in coverage.
He reminds me a lot of Tamba Hali’s role on the line. Not a super flashy rusher but smart and consistent. The year after justin Houston left Hali “sucked”. But the Dline is all about pushing the qb into bad positions and then cleaning up. If there’s nothing to clean up the numbers will never be there.
makes sense
People are nuts, refuse to see the big picture, and have very short memories.
How many zillions of times did we see “fire Andy Reid!” after some bad call or a time management issue?
Or “fire Spags!” after a bad defensive performance?
Or “if Simmons is out and Benson has to play, Mahomes will be in a body cast by week 2 and our season will be over!”?
I could go on all day with the silly reactions people have any given week.
Note: this was originally planned for the beginning of the week, but our contributors kept coming up with better stuff, so it got moved back to give them room…
