Clevelandthe Senateoh good. now the government can continue to spend money at an astonishing rate. The print shops at the mint cant make the shit fast enough. Gotta make sure we can send a few more 100s of billions to Ukraine to stay involved in a war we have no business in. Well, actually, so we can send money to defense contractors so they can send grossly overpriced shit overseas. Anybody remember Eisenhower? Remember what he said? Well, he couldnt have been more right.
Isolationism. Worked well with Hitler.
look familiar EAFOX?
only a Titan is intrigued
too small
something from the Lord of the rings
rock monsters?
EAFOXβ¦. Nvm. You already know
Howdy, y’all. Yeah, I’m still hanging around distantly, but I hope that the content I’ve put together has been welcome, at least. I’ll try to keep that up, at least.
Good Evening π
So it is. Got some things looking up for me, including my pilot cottage-commercial batch of BBQ rub. I’ve been generous in giving it out to friends and others I know, and heard a lot of “I would pay for that” comments, so here I am. Came out to a bit under 2# of it, and I have 7 repurposed spice shaker bottles of it ready to go.
I will talk to my customers for the first sale, explaining the factors in my pricing, and I’ll listen to their feedback, but they’ve all said that the price range it’s in the middle of would be fair. I actually had to work hard to talk myself into selling it for a reasonable markup, too.
you are definitely talking to the middle upper customer π
Um, “the middle upper customer”? I hope that’s a compliment of some sort, but I dunno.
That said, I initially gave away samples to folks I actually like, so I really do value their opinions on cost/value, so I’m going to explain how I arrived at the price to them, because of a feature that sets it aside from commercial rubs: I don’t add salt. That allows you to salt the target as you see fit, then shake on the flavor. Salt is cheap filler anyway, so you’re really buying a concentrate of the good stuff.
I developed it with chicken and pork in mind, but I’ve heard of it being enjoyed on things from steaks to fish to fried to veggies. So with that in mind, my tentative brand name will be “[BRaG’s*] Magic Dust”, and ten quatloos to the first one to place that reference. The slogan’s penciled in as “The magic’s in how you choose to use it!”. *Y’all know me, I don’t use my actual name openly on the internet.
I may even add a disclaimer: Not responsible for poor magical procedure, lol. Yeah, big talk for a nobody, but why not? I may get some orders online, my Eldest volunteered to handle that end, so we’ll see. After today, I see the need for a better system to produce it in more bulk, but I have some ideas to improve the next batch. Time will tell.
That reply wasn’t just to Steve, of course. There are still those here who’re interested in my doings and such.
star trek i believe
Nope, but a reasonable guess. One hint: Think Christmas.
good to hear you up and about again.
It’s been welcome, and it’s been great to see you, even infrequently. More importantly I hope you are doing well.
Thank you, and see below. There’s more positive news, but that would take a letter. Maybe if I heard from you soon? π
Did I not email you? I’m sorry, I thought I did. Maybe it “saved as a draft” instead of sending.
It’s been crazy in the life of Nasrani for these last couple weeks. I’ll kick one your way tomorrow, but for now I need to duck out of here.
Nah, just messin’ with you. I’m the one who owes you, but you could initiate a bit more, hey?
Peace, my friend.
Howdy, and yes it has. Thanks for doing it. Iβm always happy to see you even if Iβm just lurking. Please stay as long as you feel it is cathartic or even therapeutic.
And I appreciate your support, because it’s community support that keeps me going. I think it’s clear at this point that I’m not after a sea of personal fans, so the support of those who understand that means more, too. Thank you back.
time to vote
The thing with Nuke is he isnβt going to sign for $$$β¦anything he gets is offset against what the Cardinals are already paying him to not be on their team. And he is going to want to screw them hard. (I would too, to be fair)
So it comes down to fit. If the salary is a veteranβs minimum, itβs who he thinks will love him most and get a ring while doing it.
the Chiefs are more than willing to pay with a ton of acheivable incentives
we do need to re-sign Chris Jones to make it happen
There are a lot of Texans fans who want D-Hop back. While I understand why, I think thatβs incredibly unlikely, especially if he wants a ring. Same with the Lions. Yes, theyβre up-and-comers and they very well could be contenders if they continue on their trajectory, but I think thatβs still a couple of years out, and D-Hop ainβt getting younger.
just asking would an up and coming team want to disrupt their developement for a stop gap player
the Chiefs have gotten a lot younger at WR talent
unproven and cheap
I think andy has learned how to simplify the offense a little bit and get them productive sooner too.
You may have a point, but I suspect that WRs train in faster these days because he now has his culture and system fully installed, and has a supporting cast that’s elite, right down to Mahomes. Everyone helps everyone else get better, nobody toys with rivalry sabotage. The freedom of having a top-notch staff allows Reid to better plan out training emphasis and role/play designs for them.
Having subordinates you can trust to handle things the way you want them after they’ve been told the plan outline are priceless. Detailed instructions ensure conformity, but also limit independent creativity and restrict peak performance. I favor the first system, and my teams have always been high-performers because of it.
Sorry for the BRaG-tastic philosophy, but also not sorry. This is me doing me, after all. Maybe I should team up with Ed Hochuli…
Maybe, A good leader in the locker room would be beneficial for the rookies.
From what I’ve read, there’s some question about how good a locker room presence Hopkins is.
yep
He didnβt pacifically mention D-Hop in the question, So for talking about him yes I would not probably want him running my wide receiver room
lets go
99 days?
haha
Lions
Tigers (Jags)
Bears
pffffft
damn
then Aaron Rodgers and his flying monkeys
the debt limit vote will be occuring sometime in the next few hours
well true
but our debt was built in a lot of different ways
think about it this way
The US is a bank that can print money, unlike say Turkey where inflation is near 100 percent per year
Our bank as long as we pay our debts (like all of us do every month) can support the debt
course we could spend less on all the newest military gadgets and/or ask those that have more than can conceivably be ever needed in wealth to pay a little more
It’s also easy to blame one party or another, but the truth isn’t so black and white:
Obama inherited the presidency on the heels of the 2008 banking/financial crisis/recession.
Trump had to deal with COVID, which meant more spending.
These are just two recent examples.
I cannot even fathom what the Russian economy is right now
they produce a lot of Oil and Gas and both commodities are in the serious decline
but, printing more money means inflation, so its like an increase in taxes to everyone regardless of their tax bracket.
true
but how would you feel if you were a Turkish citizen
I know I don’t like the hike after hike after hike in interest rates
my debt costs more to support
but it will be worth it in a few years for those able to invest in any way
Inflation steals from the poor first. I don’t think the uber-1% of DC politicians have grasped that since Clinton-Gingrich.
But thatβs /inflation/. Not the office holder. Washington was built on blamestorming
and spending
inflation isn’t just a random thing… it happens for a reason. when you have so much money in a bucket, then add more, it has to get diluted. if an economy is growing like crazy and demanding more money, you can get away with more spending without a large increase of inflation, but if its slow, putting more money in only makes it worse.
should pass House tonight and Senate tomorrow or Friday
in theory
haha
observing quietly can cost a fortune
I find watching the zoo just living around my house is awesome and the beer is cheap

Vegas is wrong
vegans are wrong….
love ve Little Big Town
seems to me that Hopkins will maybe get the veteran min deal with a ton of incentives
maybe … would be good for some team but more than likely he’s gonna want Odell Beckham money, and KC can’t come close to that (some other team might)
was said that the OBJ deal killed the Chiefs interest in a trade for him
seems odd that we now don’t have to trade for him, that the money might make more sense for a year
rather have a few million left in case team needs a mid season warm body
besides, Hopkins would mean less time for Moore or Toney or Ross to develop, he ain’t gonna play if he has a hangnail AND I f he was “all that” why did none of the teams he was on do well?
I dont think at this point in the offseason that anyone could offer that kind of money.
right? some team MAYBE …
Cleveland I hope he goes to Cleveland and hooks up with Watson, and together they MIGHT manage 6 wins
I will remember you

YES!
You need to hang around more,
Last season took a lot out of me, got irritable with some people I shouldn’t have. Pacing myself right now. Trying to defend a Championship is tough on the emotions and some people around here can get on my nerves.
I’m probably one of those who (inadvertently) ruffled some feathers, though perhaps not as much as some people did (do?), but I just wanted to say it’s been nice to see you around again. You’re part of the community and it isn’t the same without you.
You’re one of the many good guys here Nas. Consider everyone here my friend. Sometimes friends can get on one another’s nerves. π
I would hope we all can sense how our friends are doing and comment apprpro, it is difficult I know
I smell what youβre stepping in, just know your missedβ¦
don’t let the bastids grind you down, even if I’m one of them
