Tony’s Picks: Playoffs

Tony tells you where to put your money for this week’s NFL games.

Last week: 12-4

Overall: 168-87-1

This week: 6-0

Wildcard

Bills over Colts

The Bills are being a bit overhyped at the moment, but they are legitimately the 2nd best team in the AFC, so they will very likely win.

Seahawks over Rams

The Rams may have beaten the Cardinals with Wolford, but he’s not as good as Goff. They’ll need a miracle to win.

Buccaneers over Football Team

Yes we’re all rooting for Alex to beat Brady, but the reality is that Tampa Bay is a much better team and will likely win easily.

Titans over Ravens

I’m picking the Titans to beat the Ravens despite Baltimore being favored. It’s so predictable, and the Titans will win yet again.

Saints over Bears

The Bears aren’t a real playoff team, but at least we’ll get to watch the Saints defense destroy Trubisky with fun graphics on Nickelodeon.

Steelers over Browns

The Browns finally make the playoffs, and then they lose their head coach to covid. The factory of sadness remains open.

Divisional

Buccaneers over Packers

Maybe I’m gone crazy, Tampa Bay winning in freezing Lambeau when Rodgers is dominating? But the Buccaneers destroyed the Packers earlier in the season, so I’ll assume they have some sort of matchup advantage against them.

Saints over Seahawks

It’s always risky picking the Saints this late in the playoffs nowadays, but I think their defense is legitimately good enough to carry them, like the Broncos did with Manning in 2015.

Bills over Steelers

The Bills dominated Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago, and I don’t see what’s changed to make this game any different.

Chiefs over Titans

It’ll be déjà vu all over again for the Titans, who will go through a near exact copy of their playoff run last year. And like last year, their run ends in Kansas City.

Conference Championship

Saints over Buccaneers

Yet again I’m picking the NFC games based on their previous matchups, and in this case the Saints have dominated Tampa Bay this season. That’s a good indication that New Orleans will win again to reach the Super Bowl.

Chiefs over Bills

This is the real Super Bowl, as the Bills are better than any NFC team. But for all the hype, the Chiefs are on another level and will win easily, just like the last time they played.

Super Bowl

Chiefs over Saints

This will be a bit of a letdown after the AFC championship. The Chiefs already beat this Saints team fairly comfortably in New Orleans, and there’s no reason to expect a different result this time around.

WITH Alex, WFT can pull this off. WITHOUT Alex, clean out those lockers.
I don’t see any way the Clots win. Prove me wrong, guys.

There is no doubt that Alex is an inspiration and great leader for his team. Agree that they can pull it off, but it will be by far the biggest upset of the season. Go get’em Alex!!!!

Let me preface this with I love Alex Smith. However, I have seen enough of Alex to know he will not score enough to beat the Bucs.

The only hope is a hyper productive defensive performance..which isnt impossible, but I’m damn sure not betting on it.

Titans v Ravens is my biggest question mark for this weekend … agree with Tony on the rest, pretty much, but … and here’s the thing: either way it goes, regardless of which team wins, either one WILL be a major force in the playoffs and either one IS capable of beating KC (any team out there is capable, some just more so than others)

The Ravens are still a huge ?. They finally “figured it out” playing the worst teams in football. That can certainly help a team get right, but I’m not sold.
