Chiefs Rooting Rankings: Wildcard Weekend
17 repliesArrowhead Guys tells you who to root for this week!
Rules
- The rankings and interests are based solely on which outcomes benefit the Chiefs the most.
- NFC vs. NFC matchups will be ranked. During the regular season they don’t matter enough to rank, but now they would determine a potential Super Bowl opponent.
Rankings
1: Colts over Bills
Regardless of what you think of the Colts, the Bills are the best team in the AFC outside of KC, so getting them out of the playoffs without having to play them would be a big win.
2: Steelers over Browns
The Steelers have a good defense, but even with it, it’s hard to imagine their terrible offense keeping up with Mahomes.
3: Ravens over Titans
This one’s hard to judge, as neither team seems like much of a threat. I’ll go with the Ravens if only because we’ve had more history of beating them recently.
4: Buccaneers over Football Team
5: Seahawks over Rams
6: Saints over Bears
Sorry, Alex. We love you, but the Packers are the best team in the NFC and Tampa Bay has shown the ability to beat them, so we want them to move on to the next round. It’s also why we want the Seahawks and Saints to win (since they both need to win for Tampa Bay to go to Green Bay in the divisional round).
Report: Chiefs sign punter Dustin Colquitt to practice squad
ummmm … huh???

lolwut?
FINALLY!!! Some good news! Seems like I’ve been waiting since February 2 for some of that…
I’ll definitely be rooting for AS11! Incredible what he’s done in his comeback and seeing Brady eliminated would just be a great bonus
I agree on the Colts, but think Tennessee and Cleveland are the easier outs in their games.
Tennessee worries me because they have not only a bruising RB, they have a mobile qb, and two big receivers.
I know their defense stinks, but their offense poses multiple problems.
It didn’t last playoffs.
That was last playoffs, though. Our defense is looking a little different now than it did then.
Tennessee has a bad defense, but an effective offense and a crafty (to put it as politely as possible) head coach. That seems too similar to the Raiders to me, I could see us having the same kinds of problems as we did with Gruden’s bunch this year.
I see no chance that the Browns beat the Steelers when it matters.
Colts aren’t beating the Bills, but I’d take that.
WFT over the Bucs. Because of Alex. Because that Defense will give Brady fits.
Ravens should handle the Titans, and I don’t have strong feelings about this one.
Bears (no chance)
Who cares? I’d expect either to lose the next game
It doesn’t matter which AFC & NFL wins
Chiefs will crush 🙂
As Conan says:
Skeevy Clueless was trying to hype the WFT so Tampa’s win would look better and Shannon Sharpe was having none of it. Called him out on it.
ill gonna watch it. havent seen any sports ‘media’ today
He’s been on TB’s dick all fucking year about how good Brady’s been and how bad Mahomes has been. Shannon’s guys are Mahomes and Rodgers so those debates about Tampa have been ugly.
clearly colts, although they wouldn’t be an easy out if we got them in the divisional round.
Id take the browns over the steelers, just cuz I want to see the Browns win one playoff game.
Gimme the Titans over the Ravens again. Could we somehow see a repeat AFCCG? I dont know if thats even possible but Id love it.
Sorry Im taking Alex against Tom. By WFT winning, they eliminate a good to great qb from the playoffs and Ill take that every time.
Dont care much about seahawks or rams but again following logic above, gimme the Rams.
Theres literally not a chance in hell the bears win that game so its not worth my time.
I’d love love love to see Alex and WFT get a win, however …
Careful what you wish for. If the Browns win a playoff game, the universe might implode on itself and our lives could turn into an Event Horizon situation.
