POLITICS!
ok, done for the night … y’all have a good one!
Goodnight kids
long week and a long way home
Same song?
Hahaha. There are so many songs that use those power chords in rock history.
My Bad I was thinking
seems most of America thinks we are going in the wrong direction. I thought that might be cause both ends of the spectrum were polar opposites and neither was happy.
So, I was thinking, we actually have three choices, and communism ain’t happening
So we have two, European socialism or Russian style capitalism
I am sorta surprised that so many that lean towards Russia would want to build a Wall?
instead of just conquering Mexico thrice and moving the border south?
Don’t know why socialism became a dirty word. Esp, as you say, the modern EU model. Free enterprise is allowed/encouraged. Private property is a thing, democratic voting, representative gov’t etc. Taxes are high on corps and the wealthy, but the entire pop benefits (including the corps) by having a healthier, more educated, better housed and generally happier population.
Taxes, pure and simple greed, they want money without paying for anything that allows them to make that money
Russian capitalism
serfdom?
RU capitalism includes the mob to move the money.
we call is venture capital or hedge funds, same difference.
they modeled after us come to think of it….
china too
we have Communist Corporations to invest in . till they don’t like what they are doing
they don’t care what they do until bad PR effects the $$$
and the US investors are stuck like Bitcoin investors
with nothing in the end
a contract is a contract, after all…
Rufus T. Firefly
A sucker is born every minute
that circus guy
Can you get that down from the shelf for me?
Tom Thumb
Union of Soviet Socialist Republic?
gone with the Beatles
National Socialist German Workers Party?
well that never happened I think
National Socialists and workers party would kill each other
and did
the socialists was the compromise after
Doesn’t matter. Pomp asked why socialism is a bad word.
the answer was simpler than I expected
again a misuse of the word (and again the meaning has changed)
fair, even if they were not really socialist (depending on definition)
Doesn’t matter. We grew up being taught socialism bad.
we were taught a lot of bullshit
most of it worthless
and trickle-down economics is viable even give all the evidence to the contrary…
FUCK THAT NOISE
19 trillion was taken from the 99 percent with tax cuts provided by Reagan to Trump to the rich
or 10
but seriously that transfer of wealth up is not working
also that what 20 corporations have all the wealth of the stock market is not good either
If you want a efficient free market (capitalist system), empower the middle class. The top 1% having 90% of the wealth in this Country is complete BS.
and entirely tied to the Reagan era, and later, policies.
agree
but how do we send them a message?
votes, war, assisination?
Voting is our only avenue.
if it was the top 10 percent would make a huge change
we have whatever 350 million people
35 million people have 99 percent of the wealth in the US
damn math
3.5 million
There is also a lot of evidence around the world that socialism is bad. Even though our system is being exploited by the elite, people are fleeing socialist countries to come here.
cause they are also elite and want to share in the one country that allows the elite to fleece everyone that is safe to live in?
Russia takes more than any socialist country in wealth than any socialist country from those that are not the uber rich
Russia is not socialist, or even communist … it’s a dictatorship, pure and simple
we only got two choices
trump or Europe
It might have more to do with dictatorships getting labeled as socialism. Capitalism and socialism both have issues.
well a good King only last so long
we rejected a King 240 years ago
A poorly run or corrupt system of any sort is bad. Our system has really only been running at speed since post Civil War, and it’s time for an oil change and tire rotation.
this this this
Is denouncing and pushing back against a very specific set of beliefs being forced upon an entire population, “hostility to religion”?
Nobody is preventing anyone from practicing as they see fit.
Nobody wants to be forced to practice anything they do not freely choose.
edit: this is societal theology, btw.
(did not know “social theology” was it’s own thing)
more properly: Sociology of religion
my son is all on board your push back
his generation mid thirties has no use for religeon according to him
not “mine”, just posing the question.
But yeah,
A: I believe this
B: Fine
A: You must believe this
B: ……….piss off,
I suppose that’s hostile
rules?
I am southern Baptist in belief
Abortion, gambling, liquor does not change my belief
it is a religeon that taught me. apparently not a religeon I practice…
accept the true part of Christianity
the golden rule is at the heat of them all.
a moral code, not religion
yes
Love is at the heart of them. Christianity in this Country is off the reservation
the ones in the limelight, making the noise, yes.
I believe (hope) most still carry and practice with malice to none.
Most? Where do you think the republican party’s power comes from?
the zealots, which I hope are still a minority, overall, I’ve no idea
we seem to have brought afghanistan home to America
no, this is homegrown Xian nationalism, been around for generations, they’re just making the big push now….Islam got nothing to do with it.
Agree
Anyway, nice chatting. Gotta crash, started the new gig this week, wanna end the week bright eyed and bushy tailed ?
make it so Captain!
good luck!
everyone thought Melvin Ingram did a lot for this team. Wait until you see what Carlos Dunlap does for our D
I’m excited. He looks like he still has some gas in the tank
Much needed help.
Read that Hardman had a tough drop today. I call BS on that one – Hardman has been practicing and practicing and has perfected the drop – Tough for us but easy for him.
it was raining today. The ball was wet
Hope it does not rain for the rest of the season.
hahaha
Brown probably watching Love Island tonight
and getting fat eating popcorn
I’m curious to see how Brian Daboll does as an HC. I remember his one season in KC as OC being horrid, but that’s because Crennel was coach and he had Cassel and Quinn at QB. He goes to Buffalo and tears it up with Josh Allen. Perhaps he can get something out of Daniel Jones…but he also needs weapons for that
Correcto mundo
get on the JUGS
are you sure?

16 days till 1st pre-season game against Chicago Bears
Chiefs waive TE Mark Vital, to make room for DE Carlos Dunlap
.
Former college basketball star on Baylor’s national championship team, Vital was added to the practice squad last season.
.
He managed to show some progress in his transition this offseason and flashed during the team’s OTAs and mandatory minicamp workouts. Unfortunately, the team has a tremendous amount of depth at the tight end position this year, making Vital expendable.
The Chiefs return to the practice field on Friday for their second workout open to the public. The practice begins at 9:15 a.m. Arrowhead Time.
KCCHIEFS.com –
“Experience is one of the things,” the 28-year-old Jones said of what Dunlap brings to the Chiefs. “We got a young [defensive line] group this year, fairly young to me — I’m like one of the older guys in the group. I think [he can] bring a lot of experience, a lot of wisdom to the group. He also can influence the group with his leadership ability. We’d love to have him.”
Spagnuolo agreed with Jones as he described his defensive line room.
“A little young, right? A little young and experienced, but I think we’ve got some good options,” said the defensive coordinator. “I think this is going to be one of those years that it’s going to take us three, four, five games — hopefully, as we win — where we figure out where everybody goes and who should be doing this and who should be playing.
