Come gather with your fellow Chiefs Kingdom members, and talk about what’s on your mind. Banner pic courtesy of RIP58.

It’s seafood leftovers this time, I’m afraid, but big news seldom stays fresh for long.

That last one should count for hazardous duty pay, and I couldn’t even watch Skipper go into his routine for more than a minute. There oughta be a law, as the old saying goes.

Happy socializing!

Question

The Chiefs ran it back in 2020, almost succeded
Do you see the Buccaneers successful?

The NFC South is a mess now, so a playoff berth is almost guaranteed

Is TB good enough to repeat as NFC Champs?

to add

I think it would be awesome if Rodgers ends up in Denver

those would be twice a year classic games

Same question we asked of the Chiefs…Who can stop them? I don’t really see anyone better in that Conference. Unless someone makes big strides fast, they are it.

I doubt it. They are also trying to beat father time. Not just with Brady. Suh, Gronk, Evans, David, etc.

The major parts of George Paton’s first offseason are now in the book. The Broncos signed a couple of players in free agency, brought back most of their own on one year contracts, and threw a bunch of darts in the NFL Draft.
Questions remain, but there is little doubt this Broncos roster is better than the one that finished the 2020 season. How much better remains an open debate.

QuarterbacksDrew Lock, Teddy Bridgewater, Jeff Driskel, Brett Rypien

I would think that would be a mistake to build around a player that plays on a different team

In six NFL seasons, Bridgewater is 26-23, including a 1-1 record against the Chiefs.

If the Pack traded Rodgers that would set a whole new precedent for the league. I just don’t see them trading a superstar because he’s unhappy. Rodgers seems a little to much like a diva and really feel like he’s blaming the brass for not getting to the big show.
Kind of like the guy but he’s a bit different as far as his reactions to losing. At first he was like contemplating retirement and then he was all with the team and the dY before the draft he wants out. I’m like get the guy a babysitter. Idk

Vegas doesn’t want to pay out the ass if the Broncos land Rodgers and he can get them to 8 wins.

The Kansas City Chiefs are ready for a Super Bowl rematch with the Buccaneers. Kansas City failed in Super Bowl LV because it played with multiple backups along the offensive line. Enter Orlando Brown Jr., Joe Thuney, Austin Blythe and the returns of Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Lucas Niang. On top of that, the Chiefs drafted interior linemen Creed Humphrey. Once a weakness, this offensive line should now be a top-10 unit in the NFL. When Patrick Mahomes is even given a few seconds in the pocket, he can destroy any defense.

https://sportsnaut.com/nfl-power-rankings-all-32-teams-updated-weekly/

Defense was the thing standing in the way of the Cleveland Browns becoming a Super Bowl contender. Adding Troy Hill, John Johnson III and Jadeveon Clowney helped make this a quality unit. After drafting Greg Newsome II, the Browns had more than enough talent to earn everyone’s respect. With Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah now on board, this is definitively a Super Bowl threat.

The Buffalo Bills recognized clear needs entering the 2021 NFL Draft and they went to work on addressing them. Gregory Rousseau is a project, one that won’t be ready to step in as an eight-sack player in his rookie season. But you can’t teach the physical traits he brings to the table and his upside is through the roof. If he hits, life gets easier for the entire defense.

You know other than 3/5ths of the starting O line being out there were other things going on with the way the Chiefs played. I listened to Mitchell Schwartz and he was saying it just seemed like another game and referred to them not being there for the hype of Super Bowl week and there’s truth to that. And I’ve have to admire Andy for believing in the O line they had but they needed more help like the backs and tight ends chipping more and it wasn’t there so have to put some of that on him. Then there’s the Brit Reid incident. It just seemed like things weren’t right just from watching it real time.

So, any addition is actually an addition to the WR group

The one thing that I hope the Chiefs accomplish this year during the regular season is to be able to put teams away in the late third and fourth quarter – whether that be the ten minute long TD scoring back breaking TD or quick strike cause they are loading the box. We let way too many teams hang with us – seems we got bored and stopped playing for awhile.

what was that stat that ESPN ran everytime we drafted about the interior Offensive line…

I guess we knew it in the draft room signing a Guard in FA and a Center and a Guard in the draft itself

Part of the issue – regarding linebackers – is that football has become more specialized – some LBs are pass rushers, some LBs are coverage guys, and some LBs are run stuffers, but very few in the NFL are three down lineman anymore. Many teams do now start in a nickel base defense. Back in the day, there was much less substitution as there is now – your three starting linebackers were in there unless you went to nickel or they needed a blow.
