Monday Night Football OT: Saints-Panthers and Browns-Steelers
194 repliesWelcome to Arrowhead Guys–Monday Night Open Thread. Talk about the Kansas City Chiefs or anything you would like. Time’s Yours.
Tonight there’s an unusual double-header where both teams are playing at the same time.
Saints and Panthers will play on ESPN/ESPN2 and kick off at 6:15.
Browns and Steelers will be on ABC/ESPN+ and kick off at 7:15.
Those of you with good entertainment setups and expensive cable packages will be able to watch both at the same time. The rest of us will be watching the AFC matchup on using our antennas while maybe looking for an illegal stream of the other game.
They’re speculating about the lack of flag on that last CLE play, but surprise, surprise, I disagree. To my eyes, at least, it looked like the WR wasn’t headed to the spot the ball was actually thrown, but deeper. So if anything, the hold looks to have actually placed him closer to the target. Now if the WR broke short, or the throw was placed in a spot that’d ensure a DPI (Brady was a master of that), we’d have a different outcome, if not a different finish.
a qb with 2 mask flags in one game? thats gotta be a first
A long 3rd made me wonder if that one with Jamarcus the Hutt at Arrowhead was the longest instance of that down.
watson had a bad series here, missed a TD badly and got flagged for a PF
Watson just sucks now.
i never thought he was any good. with Nuk on the team I could look pretty good at QB. Just chunk it in his general direction and hes gonna get it. Made watson look like a hero on the stat sheet, but those deep throws were always 50/50 balls that DHop beat the DB for
Yep, I was always a Watson hater. I was advocating for the Texans to trade him way before his holdout and sexual assaults.
you gotta be kidding me, what next? geriatric transgender bachelor?
You wish
(sorry you kind of set yourself up)
cleveland cant pass, but they can run the rock
Came in late and missed the new intro. Not bad
Hey, I don’t know if everybody except me saw this, but ChiefsGurl wrote a fanpost a week ago that was interesting. If you missed it, give it a look

clock shouldnt have stopped, he was running backwards to get out of bounds
saints win
Watson hurt?
Young is not ready. Watching this makes me love AS11 even more
They should have drafted Anthony Richardson.
A decent QB makes that throw catchable. Watson literally stole clevelands money
I hate this rule. If you are going for 1 you start at the 15. You get a penalty it should be marked off from there. Once you decide that’s your los.
i hate they moved it to begin with. it basically removes any chance or redeeming a blown snap or something by running it in. it puts more emphasis on the kicking game than is ideal also, how many games have been decided by missed PATs? makes the kicker way too important
Well, the idea was to stop the XP from being automatic, and it seems to have worked
What if they just moved it over? Changed the angle.
cant advance a fumble
the dave casper rule
who is the backup in pittsburgh? looks like pickett might be done for the night
he looked hurt, guess not
Nah he just sucks all the time.
he went to the lockerroom, apparently hes already back out
Not watching that one, but Carr’s still Raidering, it seems. Barely over 50% for no TDs and a pick.
same Carr, just gold instead of silver
Where’s Burl Ives when you need him?
NICK CHUBB IS OUT FOR THE YEAR
TORN HIS
Mcl
Pcl
Lol
And dislocated his knee
My bad.
I misread Adam s tweet
That same knee in 2015…he did all these items to his knee
“Lol”?? Seriously?
My guess is a typo for LcL, but typed fast & he missed double keying the o with the L, glanced, and added the final l. I have my differences with Gonzo, especially how he judges strangers with disdain, but I have no reason to believe he’s that type of ghoul. Had it been Watson, I’d have some doubts, but Chubb? What’s he done?
I hope that’s the case. If not, wow
Agreed, but if I didn’t know him pretty well, I’d have thought much the same. I don’t have a tendency to read very factually limited, possibly biased news stories and judge others harshly. I want something solid to base my opinions on, now newsroom slop.
the browns have a worse case of the drops than we did week 1. wow
Why is Dalton in for CAR?
Probably because people tend to be stupid
thats a shame. probably a career ender
