Dorian O’Daniel was born on September 4, 1994, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. He attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, MD where he played running back and linebacker. He graduated in 2013 and was rated the No. 40 player in the nation by Rivals.com. He also attended high school with Kendall Fuller, who was with him when he got the call that he’d been drafted by the Chiefs.
He chose to attend Clemson University, where he majored in parks, recreation & tourism management. He redshirted his freshman year. He spent his freshman and sophomore years playing mostly special teams and back-up linebacker, winning the starting linebacker spot his Junior year. By his senior year in 2017 he was the defensive MVP for the Tigers. He was drafted in the third round of the 2018 draft by the Chiefs.
