Know your Chiefs – Chris Lammons
4 repliesChristopher Lamar Lammons was born on January 31, 1996, in Lauderhill Florida. He attended Plantation High School in Florida where he played quarterback and defensive back, and was also on the school’s honor roll. He was a four start recruit. He originally committed to play for the Florida Gators, but de-committed.
He chose to attend college at South Carolina. In 2014, he started seven games as a true freshman. The next year he played in eight games due to injuries. His junior year he was one of eight players who started every game, at either cornerback or nickel. He graduated with a degree in sociology.
He was an undrafted free agent and signed with the Falcons in 2018, but was cut in the final roster cuts. A month later he was signed to the Saints practice squad and waived a few weeks later. Another month went by, and he was signed to the Dolphins practice squad for the rest of the year.
He made his NFL debut in 2019 with the Dolphins but was eventually waived in December. Three days later he was signed to the Chiefs practice squad where he remained for the year. He was resigned in February 2020 and waived during the final roster cuts, and resigned to the practice squad. He’s bounced back and forth from the practice squad and regular roster ever since.
Dude, I really appreciate these articles! I like learning a bit about our Chiefs.
What position does he play? Strong safety ? Have to say I’ve never heard his name mentioned before..
cornerback. I’m basically down to the unknown players in this series. I may have to sneak in a biography for RIP and see if anyone notices.
He’s around in preseason playing and then bouncing between the practice squad and active roster.
