6 repliesCharles Omenihu was born on August 20, 1997 in Houston, Texas. His family moved to the Dallas area when he was one. His parents are Regina and Sunday Omenihu. He attended Rowlett High School in Rowlett, Texas, where he was a member of the B honor roll all four years.
He played college football at the University of Texas, where he had 115 tackles and 16.5 sacks. 9.5 of them as a senior, when he was named the Big 12 Defensive lineman of the year, and first team All-Big 12 by the AP and coaches.
He was drafted by the Texans in the fifth round of the 2019 draft. On November 2, 2021 he was traded to the 49’ers for a sixth round pick.
On March 16, 2023 he signed a two year deal with the Chiefs.
Really makes the ineptitude of the Texans player development program apparent, doesn’t it?
I’ve got very high expectations for Charles, defense will take a big step forward this year.. we’ve got to keep teams from putting up 30 pts .
Charles last year in school ; 9.5 sacks as a senior, when he was named the Big 12 Defensive lineman of the year and wasn’t FAU the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year?
Which year?
They played at different times. I think CO is 3 years out of school
Fact is we have a much improved D line. We have replaced a tired ol sad Frank Clark with CO and FAU
