the games, they’re all showing

friends, football is here!

It’s the hap-happiest season of all

The sports fans are cheering

Their wives are all jeering

And summer is fall!

Losing teams, they’ll be roasting

And games played out in the snow

And talk of the glories

Of vict’ries long, long ago!
