Into The Afternight: Our 3rd Shift O/T
8 repliesIf you’re still up and want to talk Chiefs, or just hang with fellow citizens of the Kingdom, this is the place.
Let’s just begin, shall we?
Damn shame about Tua, but I don’t blame the tackler. To my eye, he was trying to avoid slamming him into the turf, and it almost worked. Obviously, it didn’t, but I doubt he had the time to consider the effects of angular momentum in his idea. It’s Phootball, not Fysics.
With that, time’s yours.
ERMAGERD, AN ASSALT DAGER! 😛
ERMAGERD, ARCHEOLOGY!
ERMAGERD, THIS EVEN ANNOYS ME! So have some music, too.
So, with the NFL announcing that our game will be played in Tampa as scheduled, that field is going to be sloppy with all the hurricane rain. Which means, we’re going to probably have to rely more on our running game. I’m not expecting a lot of ability to make a lot of cuts. Not expecting a huge offensive game for either team.
That very well be the case, but given FL conditions and at least two significant CFB programs have to cope alongside the pair of NFL franchises, I wouldn’t be surprised if field drainage had been designed with this sort of contingency in mind. In fact, ISTR that that sort of upgrade was installed at Arrowhead after the “Monsoon Game”. And wasn’t that a game, eh?
They can change their cleats out as well.
A slick, soggy field’s still better than that damn turf. Wait, I stand corrected, there’s one exception I overlooked, where turf was literally preferable to the venue’s natural surface, Mexico City. But those are rare, these days.
