Chiefs fan since the ’90s. Raconteur, troublemaker and general loudmouth who makes adhering to Rule 9 a way of life. AG’s resident Fool on the Hill.
My mind can be changed, but only by proper application of facts and reason. (Hint: If you are internet-arguing, it won’t happen.)
I can be reached by adding (at)Yahoo.com to the end of my screen name. That includes if you want me to edit your fanpost, and I’ll treat it just like any other piece from the regular writers that “crosses my desk”.
Have at, nothing wrong with legit scrapping, but one video does not a channel make. This guy’s patter’s a bit annoying, but I keep in mind that he has to say a lot of the same stuff over and over. That’s what happens when you crank out content on the regular, and the same thing happened with my Afternights. I was creative (sometimes too much so) as hell, initially, but that’s hard to sustain on a nightly basis, so I settled into a format.
But even after years of doing this daily, I still toss in the occasional wild card, as well as covering my usual range of topics. That’s the appeal for the next-day folks, I expect, because every day it’s a mild surprise, but sometimes it’s a more wild surprise. I expect that’s especially true because I have no way of gauging who like what – though I do remember you like Brad & Lex videos.
i say that in jest….. but I am all for getting steel out of water. My truck is down, but I might have 100 worth of scrap. I recycle, plastic, bags, glass , and yes …scrap. I am passionate about it. SO MUCH precious metals ends up in our landfills, not to mention our streams and rivers
Fair enough. I presume you’re all for magnet fishing videos from that. So am I, but what I’m happiest to see come up are fishing line and batteries. Of course, sometimes ferrous targets sometimes come up containing something that you don’t want (the rest of) in the environment.
There’s a lot to be said for their open market businesses. They’re paid because people are willing to pay to keep them going. Nobody has to, and I don’t, because supporting all the channels I frequently share here at the $1 level’s too much for my limited budget. These people have found a way to not only monetize “free”, they do so in a way that not only benefits society, but the environment, as well.
It’s nice to have a conversation for once, isn’t it?
I am a card carrying (literally) of the Mo river restoration foundation. Recycling is a HUGE passion of mine. So yes, getting steel out of a lake or stream and someone making some money is FINE by me
And me, as well. OTOH, Cody B and his fireworks aren’t environmentally friendly, and he’s making money from it, too. That’s still OK by me. When reduced right down to cold equations, life matters little, but it’s the little things that make all the difference. Fun is good.
I should do ”what do folks throw away” because I am finna gonna make 100 bucks on scrap
