2 OZ Rye or Bourbon Whiskey
1 OZ Sweet Vermouth
2 Dashes Bitters
A few Cherries
Put Rye or Bourbon, sweet Vermouth, and bitters into a shaker with ice.
Stir (do not shake) till cold
Strain into glass
Add As many cherries as you’ like (add small amount juice for flavor)
Basically all alcohol.
The choice of Rye and Bourbon changes the flavor
Rye adds makes it spicier, while Bourbon adds sweet
Many recipes add orange peel or bitters to add another dimension of taste.
As I’m allergic to orange that won’t be added
A strong, classic cocktail
Not too sweet, not too bitter. Perfection.
Cherries add sweetness to the spice (I used Rye)
They also soak up the alcohol and make a delicious treat at the end.
