The target of my frustration this week is the second most expensive player on the Chiefs defense. He’s been called the leader of the defense, but in my eyes he’s been a big disappointment. He has less tackles than Anthony Hitchens (Hitchens has 150 less snaps), Charvarius Ward (Ward has 40 less snaps and is a CB), and Damien Wilson (Wilson has 140 less snaps). This weeks dud is…
The honey badger (Mellivora capensis), also known as the ratel (/ˈreɪtəl/ or /ˈrɑːtəl/), is a mammal widely distributed in Africa, Southwest Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. Because of its wide range and occurrence in a variety of habitats, it is listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
It is the only species in the genus Mellivora and in the mustelid subfamily Mellivorinae. Despite its name, the honey badger does not closely resemble other badger species; instead, it bears more anatomical similarities to weasels. It is primarily a carnivorous species and has few natural predators because of its thick skin, strength and ferocious defensive abilities. It is listed as the “world’s most fearless animal” in the 2002 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Low-lights Against Vikings
Dancing around, waiting for someone else to do something
Chance for the stop on 3rd down – Whoops, wrong way (teammates cleaned it up)
Running away from contact instead of finishing the play
“Corralling” and trying to pull the ball out. Gives up an extra 10 yards.
General contact avoidance
This way? That way? I’ll just be over here guys
Low-lights Against Titans
Attempting to pull the ball out? Gets rag-dolled.
Pathetic. Critical 3rd down. Legitimately could have stopped him short, but he dances around him. Drive ends in a TD.
Standing around watching as teammates try to drag down Henry. Then gets pissed off at them.
Sure, I’m being negative and only showing the bad plays, but that’s my prerogative after a bad loss. I don’t remember him making any plays the 2 games anyway, and only a handful of very good plays all season.
So, what do you guys (gender neutral) think? Is Tyrann Mathieu playing well enough to justify his contract? Is he a stud or a dud?
