Insult that needs to be corrected or fire Spags now – newly released depth chart still lists Hitch and Niemann as starters over Bolton and Gay.

DAMN – Ruggs was traveling at 156 MPH while driving drunk – burn his ass.

I doubt I could afford whatever car Ruggs was driving, but kudos to the engineers who designed it’s safety features. I would think 156 MPH would just explode both cars.

Apparently he had slowed to ~125mph before impact. That being said, the car designed to go fast safety features worked, the car not designed for that did explode.

Killed a 23 year old woman.

I would be content with him getting 10 years. Anything on top of that would be a bonus.

Last year, Chiefs had to play the Pack without our starting QB. This year, the situation is reversed. Hope we shut down Aaron Jones and GB’s powerful running game.

Yes, a quirky coincidence, we started Matt Moore vs the Packers in 2019 and lost a squeaker but we went on to win the SB.

thank you … it takes a brave soul to admit it was his fault (it wasn’t, but still)

so maybe if we (Chiefs) start Henne and lose in a close game, history might repeat itself and we (the Chiefs) go on to win the Super Bowl … right? maybe? (insert “so you’re saying there’s a chance?” meme here)

Can we PLEASE not make Jordan Love a rich man? Like, oh, Scott Erickson (the one I remember the best, but I know there are other backups we made look like the second coming of Unitas)?

I mean, I agree that I don’t want KC to be the one who does it, but I’d love for Jordan Love to have a great game…just enough to convince Packer fans that they’ve lucked out for a third straight time with QBs (Favre -> Rodgers -> Love). And then enjoy the sweet, sweet tears from those same fans when Love comes back to earth next year after Rodgers has moved on to another team.

That other team is highly likely to be the Donkies. I’d rather him stay with GB.

I doubt it. Trading Von was an admission that they’re not contenders in the next couple of years, and A-Rod just isn’t going to go to a loser. He’s looking to win another SB, not try to be the savior of a bad team.

Just looked it up. He joined us in 2008, but this is the wiki from when he played us in 2006.

He again saw action in the 2006 season finale versus the Kansas City Chiefs, entering the game to replace David Garrard in the third quarter. Down 28-10, he nearly led the Jaguars to a comeback, completing 13 of 22 passes 166 yards, with no interceptions, and rushing for 26 yards and 2 touchdowns.

I have seen multiple people calling him stupid for not getting vaccinated.

He has almost zero chance of dying from Covid. I still think there are people who don’t understand how there can be problems with a vaccine that don’t pop up for years. He made his choice and I respect it.

May his illness be mild, and his recovery be quick. I believe in karma and laughing at the people who get Covid is bad Juju I don’t want on me.

kisten I get it and I respect people have a “right” to their own choice(s) but … if ya wanna live in a “society/civilization” (you know, with OTHER PEOPLE) then ya gotta give up SOMETHING along the way

you know, like it’s NOT COOL to … oh, let’s say “get drunk and drive” just for example … wanna play in the NFL, ya gotta follow certain rules, etc

in some way(s) I think we ALL have SOME kind of “responsibility” to others … unless, of course, ya wanna go live on an island all by yerself in which case hey, have fun and do whatever ya wanna with no responsibility towards anyone at all (using the editorial “you” here)

IMO those who are unvaxed and go to giant gatherings that become super-spreaders and end up giving what CAN be a deadly disease to even ONE other person (much less several) and someone DIES because of that, should be charged with manslaughter … maybe they didn’t INTEND for someone to die, but their negligence and indifference caused a death … whatever happened to the concept of “responsibility”

Being vaccinated is not the same as being immune. You can have immunity from past infections. If you don’t include natural immunity when discussing this you’re not serious about your concerns.

https://www.science.org/content/article/having-sars-cov-2-once-confers-much-greater-immunity-vaccine-vaccination-remains-vital

Had COVID? You’ll probably make antibodies for a lifetime (nature.com)

Natural immunity to covid is powerful. Policymakers seem afraid to say so. – The Washington Post

You can find studies that go both ways, and the most convincing ones I’ve seen (no disrespect to Nebraska) indicate that natural is at least as good as vaccination, but I know of NO study that states that having natural immunity is the same as having neither a past infection and being unvaccinated. But that’s the way it’s commonly discussed in this country, and it’s ridiculous. Again, I cannot take seriously anyone who talks about it like this.

You make up your own mind. At least you’re doing some research.

I have not had covid due to actually following the rules of social distancing and wearing a mask, and I don’t intend to get it. I just really don’t want to be a link in the chain.

I’m glad I got the vaccine and will be getting the booster soon.

Wish I could say the same, fully vaxxed wear a mask in public stay away from bars and other sketchy establishments. Somehow came down with the vid on Monday. Not fun, but glad I’m vaxxed and the symptoms aren’t too terrible. This whole loss of taste and smell thing is fucked tho. Felt like I got hit by a train on Monday but yesterday and today feel much better. Slamming vitamin c and d hopefully can kick the stuffy nose and headaches…

I’m on Prednisone that actually inhibits my immune system, same social distancing (hell, I couldn’t work as my last job closed during the pandemic) … and mask, but fortunate not to get even a cold for the 12 months til I got the vax (March 2021)

I have read someplace that certain blood type(s) (O maybe?) are more “resistant” to the Covid than others (but maybe not, maybe I was lucky)

like you, will be getting the booster soon … heading to KC for the weekend before Turkey Day … I don’t to to GET anything, nor do I want to inadvertently SPREAD anything

been lucky (usually) for years … winter cold or some kind of lingering crud generally every 3-5 years, but with the Covid and the Prednisone and still not getting anything? very fortunate and not complaining one tiny little bit … AND have a job now (I love Salida!) … life is good

Yeah. It’s not just about one person, it’s about how many hundreds/thousands/millions of people get it after you.

749,000 Americans have died so far according to google. God have mercy on the first person to bring it here… they have a lot on their conscience, assuming they survived.

Agreed. BUT… if it was truly accidental, then I’d hold the bombing campaign for now.

If it was purposeful, then the small number of government officials who made that call are the ones responsible, not the entire country of China and everyone it in.

That would be like Afghans wanting MasterChief and hoosierchief to pay for American special ops drone teams hitting a wedding party instead of an ISIS meeting.

Let’s not start a shooting war that kills many over the actions of a very small few.

I actually wasn’t planning on bombing them, but when we start blaming other individuals for passing the disease and all that, there’s a good chance it was brought upon us by a Chinese lab, and they are getting off free because we need their products… I have a hard time believing that this virus just popped up out of thin air without a little help.

upamtn
Reply to  hoosierchief
11/03/2021 4:37 pm

until there’s “proof” one way or another, either explanation is just as possible and plausible as the other (ie, a wild virus that simply spread OR a lab accident that got out {and I would not for one second believe that a lab virus getting out would have been intentional [even for China, just not seeing it]})

either way, it’s a pandemic that has to be dealt with … best to just deal with it in the best and most scientific way possible

it ain’t rocket science, it’s just survival

Living things like viruses do sometimes evolve to become other things, but yeah, if someone or a group of people did this then they need to pay a heavy price.

I’m pretty much already avoiding Chinese crap anyways because their balls are getting a bit too big.

It’s not just about one person, it’s about how many hundreds/thousands

this^^^ times a million

look what it’s done to the “health care system” … the overloads, the stress and people burned out from their jobs … I still don’t get why “get a shot, wear a mask” is such a difficult thing for some people to do … after all, we kinda have to drive on the right side of the road for ourselves and others, it’s just common sense, right? (I guess not, huh)

I also found this: Packers third-string quarterback Kurt Benkert reportedly tested positive for the virus earlier this week. Benkert was placed on the Packers’ covid-19 reserve list and appeared to confirm his positive test on social media.

Also this: “Rodgers did go through a homeopathic or holistic immunization treatment which he thought might be able to get him vaccinated status,” Rapoport said. “But the NFL said that it would not. So he is officially, according to the letter of the law, unvaccinated.”
