BRaG’s Breakdown
13 repliesThe playoffs are here and I have things to say, but what do I know?
I feel like Emperor Palpatine of late, but everything really is unfolding as I foresaw back early in the season. The OL’s kept jelling, the DL’s gotten itself together, and we’re on another winning streak. Add to that the fact that we control our own destiny to the 1 seed, and life is good.
Those who have paid attention may recognize those segments, and if so, good on ya. They’re a couple of weeks old, but the comparison is apt. Furthermore, the Chiefs played a complete game, once they settled in. They played like a team that has been here before, and knows that they know how to play it. The Steelers, not so much.
This doesn’t make us a lock next week, but our regular-season total stats mean squat now. The Bills are a dangerous team, and we cannot take them lightly. But on the flip side, we’re more dangerous. Everything came together on Sunday, to the point where mistakes could be overcome with relative ease. That likely won’t be the case next Sunday, but if everyone stays locked in from this one, the Bills aren’t just facing an uphill battle, they’ll have to scale up from the base of a cliff.
Now’s your chance to tell me how wrong I am.
Fuck the Bills!
I gotta remember to ask Tony how long a “FREE LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION” lasts …
Geaux Chiefs!

Times are set for the NFL Divisional Round schedule.
Saturday, January 22
Bengals vs. Titans (4:30pm ET on CBS)
49ers vs. Packers (8:15pm ET on FOX)
Sunday, January 23
Cardinals/Rams vs. Buccaneers (3:00 ET on NBC)
Bills vs. Chiefs (6:30pm ET on CBS)
The Chiefs will have to cover several pretty good wide receivers and also account for a QB who can take off at any given moment and gain some serious yards. They need to get to Allen early and rattle him. Throw him off of his game and force him into mistakes. The offense needs to come out ready to play from the start. No more turning it on until the 2nd quarter. If we can do these things I believe we win by at least 10.
*not turning it on until the 2nd quarter
I agree with ALMOST everything you said … the only “exception” is that the Bills … well, they ain’t bad and the Chiefs most likely can’t afford mistakes and a slow start (nor can they allow the Bills a fast start as they had against the Pats)
that said, Chiefs have at LEAST a 50% chance of winning Sunday’s game, and as a fan that’s all one can ask (a good, hard fought game and NO INJURIES)
you forgot to add “and no bad refs” after no injuries.
That the Bills are a dangerous team, but we’re a more dangerous team, you mean? Or is it the part about not taking them lightly?
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh now see? I don’t know that the Chiefs ARE the more dangerous team … they might be, they might NOT be … either way we’ll find out (something) Sunday
Nor do I know, but I believe that we are the more dangerous team. JMNSHO
fair ’nuff
and that’s the nature of fandom: faith, opinion and personal belief … what’s in your heart & soul (even a Jags fan has faith and belief from time to time, just not very often)
truth told, I think KC is indeed “the better team” however (always one of those) they have to play like it when the time comes (as we all already know) … gonna be a long week
Geaux Chiefs!
Except for Raiders fans, who have no souls.
