Sure, that does happen sometimes. But I have also seen slo-mo breakdowns of Mahomes going through progressions VERY quickly.
Also, I think his bailing is more a function of feeling or expecting pressure rather than panicking after the first read.
Let’s also remember that Mahomes is human and does make a mistake or two per game.

when he was first drafted the narrative was that he was “godlike” … the dude DOES have an arm AND a mad set of skills (throwing styles, ability to scramble, etc) but yeah, he IS human (we fans tend to forget that on occasion)
