My FIL was a girls’ BB coach, and when Mrs BRAG still played for him, at one game the ref was blatantly biased. He finally got fed up with it, and since they were going to lose anyway, he told one of his players to guard the ref, not another player. When the ref asked him what was going on, my FIL told him, ‘if you’re going to play for the other team, we’ll treat you that way’. That earned him a T and an ejection, and I have no doubt that he said it loud enough that most of the audience heard it, so the ejection only doubled down on his message WRT bias.
Not practical to do that to Cheffers, but damn, it’s tempting.
