Chris Jones need 2.5 more sacks in the final 5 games to reach 10 for the season and make $1.25 million in incentives. If he reaches 15 sacks he gets an additional $500,000.

He’s had 2 sacks in the last 6 games.

He also gets $1 million if he’s first team all pro.

Missouri RB Cody Schrader wins Burlsworth Trophy | AP News

Missouri running back Cody Schrader has won the Burlsworth Trophy, given to the nation’s best player who started his Division I career as a a walk-on.

Schrader, who walked on two years ago after transferring from Division II Truman State, leads Division I with 124.9 yards rushing per game this season. He has rushed for 1,625 yards and 13 touchdowns and led the Tigers to a 10-2 record. He was a unanimous Associated Press first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection this year.

Honestly….
If you have any realistic dream of playing in the NFL, if you expect to be a Rd 3 or above player, playing in a bowl game is stupid. There is way, way too much money at stake.
Good for them, watching out for themselves. If they got hurt, no one would pay them what they lost
If it’s to transfer to a school that will better show their talents and they can’t do that if they play for OSU in that game, again, good for them for putting themselves before a school

AFC playoff race becoming a battle of who can stay upright | yahoo!sports

https://sports.yahoo.com/afc-playoff-race-becoming-a-battle-of-who-can-stay-upright-202504446.html

Every year in the NFL is a war of attrition. This year, we’ve seen multiple marquee quarterbacks go down, and their teams’ prospects with them. Aaron Rodgers. Joe Burrow. Kirk Cousins. Deshaun Watson … all lost for the season. And while you may not put, say, Anthony Richardson, Jimmy Garoppolo, Daniel Jones or Kenny Pickett in that elite class, their absence still leaves a huge hole in their respective rosters. Ryan Tannehill, Derek Carr and Justin Fields were all Day 1 starters who have also missed time due to injury.

The AFC, in particular, is becoming a battle of who can stay upright.

interesting take …

as for the Chiefs: thou shalt not throw you teamie under a bus no matter who you are and no matter who’s “at fault” … the line is “we failed to make it happen and that’s on all of us”

carry on 🙂

I know the 2023 Chiefs looked flawed at the moment…..

but

The Dolphins are 1-3 against teams with winning records
The Bills are 6-6 with a healthy Josh Allen
The Jags now have no Lawrence
The Bengals have no Burrow
The Steelers have no Pickett
The Browns have no Watson
The Broncos are what they are

The Ravens have a tough closing schedule

We actually want Lawrence to come back this week and beat the Ravens. If not we need to Ravens to lose to at least one of 49ers (possible), Dolphins (prefer not as we also need the Dolphins to lose), or Steelers (less likely)
