Bleacher Report quotes Chris Jones: “Hell yeah I’d love to play with JJ Watt”

maybe if CJ gives JJ half his salary … cap stays the same … yeah, that’d work

He’d love to have him on his unit, sure. They didn’t ask him if there’s more than a snowball’s chance in Hell of that happening.

right?

I kinda like my idea, though: CJ donates half his salary to JJ (if Watt would accept a number that low) and … yeah, snowball’s chance in hell

ok, outta here: I got an early early way too early show in the moan’in’

ha, and at that I had it backwards …

The Adventures of Superman began filming in 1951, and was first aired on September 19, 1952. The final first-run episode was broadcast on April 28, 1958. George Reeves starred as Clark Kent/Superman with Phyllis Coates as the original Lois Lane. In 1953 Noel Neill, who had previously played Lois in two serials, replaced Coates from the second season onward. Jack Larson played Jimmy Olsen and John Hamilton was Perry White

TECHNOLOGY will only continue to grow

Full life size 3d Hologram video calls are already available. Instead of facetime, zoom. The full image of person you are having a conversation with. Both sender & receiver must have special device. Each device cost $100k. But as technology evolves…price will go down.

Many other technology items are available now…..
But that’s another topic 4 another day

My mother is 92. Born in 1928. In her lifetime, the changes in the world, in living, in what is possible have been staggering. I can’t imagine another 90-100 year period has or will have the amount of changes that she has seen. I think I’ve seen a lot of changes in my lifetime, but hers… wow. Cars were rare, radio was just getting going, TV not a thing yet, Air travel was for the rare few, even indoor plumbing was not an every day thing. Now, most families have several cars, tvs, radio’s heyday has come and gone, millions travel everywhere (usually) without giving it a thought, and if you’re a customer every place has a bathroom you can use. We hold pure 1928 science fiction in our hands on a daily basis. In 1928, I could communicate with someone in Australia, if I had a few months to devote to it. Today, I can see them and talk in real time.
And, of course, 360 degree pictures from Mars. The wind on Mars.
Not of the advances have been for the better, but there is no stretch of human history that changed so much so quickly and short of living during a time we make contact with other planets, I can’t see that kind of advancement happening again.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ll ask in turn if you’ve stopped to think about how uniquely positioned I’ve been to observe the transition? I remember one set of grandparents having a party line, and that after retiring from the farm to town. I was something of a loner, so I spent endless hours playing computer games via a teletype connected to the MECC mainframe system (An early building block of the internet, in fact). The Apple and A 2? From cassette memory to floppies. C64, the Commodore PET, and so forth, I was there drinking it in every step of the way.

You young folks are right about changing happening faster than at any time in human history, but don’t forget that the past still matters, and that if you wish to understand it, then you must transition your mind in the other direction. Trying to apply digital-era thinking to steam-era realities can only mislead y’all.

I really need to find a free, um…informal way to get caught back up with the project. However, I’d literally pay to do it if the service included narration by one of the Lagina group, rather than Prometheus’ breathy questioner. Guy’s seriously cringy – Cringy, from Prometheus? Could that be tied to the Knights Templar…and ancient aliens, too?!? Oh, my aching ears.

TYLER EIFERT
TE, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT
comment image
The Jaguars declined TE Tyler Eifert’s 2021 option, making him a free agent. The move saves the Jaguars $5.25 million against the cap. After injuries ruined a span of his career in Cincinnati, Eifert has been able to stay healthy the last two seasons, appearing in 31-of-32 games. In his lone season with Jacksonville, 30-year-old Eifert turned 60 targets into a 36-349-2 line across 15 games. His 52-615-13 year in 2015 was an extreme outlier. Eifert will likely have to settle for another one-year deal.

CARLOS DUNLAP
DL, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
comment image
ESPN’s Brady Henderson believes it “seems likely” the Seahawks will release mid-season trade acquisition Carlos Dunlap. It “seems likely” because cutting the soon-to-be 32-year-old would clear $14.037 million in cap space while leaving behind no dead money. Dunlap helped energize the Seahawks’ previously woebegone defense following his October arrival, but there is no way they can pay that price in a year where the salary cap is falling. It is quite possible Dunlap is brought back on a more affordable deal.

Outlook

In what has the makings of a very deep cornerback class, Benjamin St-Juste is a cornerback prospect that is currently being unheralded. He owns everything you want in a Day Two cornerback and is worthy of top-75 overall consideration. Lack of long speed and ball production is what hurts him from possibly being considered even higher than that. With all the makeup of a future starter at the NFL level due to his scheme versatility, St-Juste will be a late riser who goes from being the defensive back of the week, to possibly being the flavor of the month for teams come April.

Isn’t LB a position of very low priority for this team? OL, WR, DE, and DB seem much higher priorities. Gay and Hitchens should play the majority of snaps.

They will

But a 4-3 D should have a Sam LB

He would play on 5-tech side of the field on early downs

The Chargers with their new QB and HC might be a problem

I’m sick of following my dreams. I’m just going to ask them where they’re goin’, and hook up with them later.

I used PFF’s Mock Draft Simulator and for fun, I drafted based on the best player available with each pick. Here’s what I got:

Pick 31: WR Elijah Moore, Ole Miss
Pick 63: S Elijah Molden, Washington
Pick 94: DL Osa Odighizuwa, UCLA
Pick 136: LB Cameron McGrone, Michigan
Pick 144: OT Robert Jones, Mid. Tennessee St.
Pick 176: C Drake Jackson, Kentucky
Pick 180: DE Jaylen Twyman, Pittsburgh
Pick 240: C Michal Menet, Penn State
Pick 256: RB Brian Robinson Jr., Alabama

This draft was given a B grade…let’s just say if KC did this, I don’t think it would go over well.

you were able to hit on a lot of the positions that need reinforcing

in no particular order

S – Strong specifically
CB – Press man
LB – Sam LB specifically
DE – 5 tech
DL – Nose tackle
OT – at least possible to start at RT and play swing
C
WR – possession

When the trade happened I told an Eagles friend I thought they got a good package back, not bad, etc. Response back was asking if I was trying to make them want to kill themselves.
