It’s a good thing the Lions have their annual Thanksgiving game, because they don’t have much else going for them. They fired the only head coach they’ve had that’s led them to a winning record since the merger and now they’re back to losing.
Cowboys over Football Team
The Cowboys got Andy Dalton back, which is something, but this will be the most boring matchup of the day. At least we’ll get to watch our old friend Alex Smith.
Steelers over Ravens
Hopefully this game gets played, but if it does it may not be Thursday. It would be nice if the Ravens won, but given what they’ve faced this week that seems unlikely.
Sunday:
Raiders over Falcons
The Raiders have a pretty easy remaining schedule, including the Falcons, so it looks like they’re in good shape to make the playoffs. It’s always a bummer to see them doing well.
Bills over Chargers
The Chargers are playing their first cold weather game of the year, they’re fortunate that Herbert played at Oregon so has experience in bad weather. The Bills should still win though as they look to stave off the Dolphins in the AFC East.
Giants over Bengals
I would have picked the Bengals if it wasn’t for the Burrow injury, but Finley is terrible. The Bengals might be as bad as the Jets now.
Colts over Titans
This is a close one, I could see it going either way, so I’ll go with the home team. While it’s a bit exciting that this will likely determine the division winner, both teams will make the playoffs and neither will get the bye, so it’s not all that interesting.
Browns over Jaguars
This is a must-lose for the Jaguars if they want to have any hope of passing the Jets for the top overall pick in the 2021 draft. The Browns aren’t as good as their record, but they should still be able to handle the Jaguars.
Vikings over Panthers
The Vikings’ loss to the Cowboys was devastating. Had they won they would have been 5-5 and had a chance to claw their way into the playoffs. But at 4-6 and losing to an NFC East team they’re pretty much out of it.
Cardinals over Patriots
It will be a long time before I get tired of the Patriots being bad. They’ve already lost 6 games for the first time since 2009 (when Brady was coming back from his ACL injury), and they’re one loss away from the most losses since 2002. Their last losing season was 2000.
Dolphins over Jets
I’ve been saying for the past couple weeks that the Dolphins weren’t quite as good as many people though and that Tua might struggle in cold Denver, but even I was surprised that they ended up losing. They should be able to take care of the Jets though.
Saints over Broncos
Taysom Hill had a decent game last week against the Falcons, but I’m not quite sure he’s a legitimate starting caliber quarterback. He actually reminds me a bit of Lamar Jackson in that he can rely too much on his legs at times and can struggle with accuracy. But the Saints are so talented that they’re still a dangerous team with him at quarterback.
Rams over 49ers
The 49ers beat the Rams the last time they played, and they’re coming off a bye, so they have a chance. But the Rams are the superior team.
Packers over Bears
Brett Favre became the Packers’ starting quarterback in 1992, and since then the Packers are 42-15 against the Bears. It’s even worse in the Aaron Rodgers era, with the Packers going 20-5 against them since trading Favre to the Jets. The Packers will add one more to the win column this week.
Monday:
Seahawks over Eagles
The Seahawks should go on a run, as their next 4 games are against the NFC East and the Jets. They could have the top seed in the NFC by Christmas.
The AG Game of the week:
Chiefs over Buccaneers
This is possibly the toughest game left on the schedule. We just saw that the Tampa Bay offense can be slowed down with a bit of pressure, and since they don’t have the same quality of offensive line as the Raiders I expect Chris Jones and Frank Clark to have bounce back games this week.
seeing how bad the Patriots are this season, and watching Brady play at a fairly decent level of not-too-bad, the thought creeps in that maybe their success the past 20 yrs was more due to Brady being a pretty good QB as opposed to Belichick being a genius
meanwhile, the Chiefs do indeed need to create some DL pressure on Brady, something they haven’t done (in general) the last coupla of games (Clark & Jones & Mathieu all seemed to disappear against the Raiders (to be fair: Mathieu was VERY visible in not being able to tackle worth a damn) … the D needs to get it together

Not sure if its just that I’m on an android, but the formatting has it typing all over itself.

I’ll try and get it fixed. I don’t know why this happens sometimes with this article.
