A game where the Confederate commander can see all of the Union commander’s units isn’t at all realistic, especially since when they finally turned up, Stewart’s cavalry accomplished nothing of note.

Bet they had fun, but that one’s not for me. Upp’d it.

it was a fun video

I once fought a similar battle at a wargamers convention

the Boxer rebellion

I was the Italian naval (marine) unit

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxer_Rebellion

I sent my unit in and was able to stop the Chinese

It was fun, not being familiar with the battle, it was fun

Sticking around was never in question, but digging myself out of the last one’s been damn slow and difficult. Even with the usual bad events folks suffer upstairs, what’s known is still fairly hazy, but in my case, I had to virtually establish my own specialty in psychology, because cases like mine are as rare as hen’s teeth. I’m working on the edge of Unknown, trying to push it back more and more.

Poker involves math, true, but the outcomes are not primarily based on math. BJ, roulette, slots and such are almost all math, and the decisions you can make playing any of them are so limited that they’re basically reduced to an illusion.

On a 5-card draw machine, you have five possible changes to make vs 15 or so payout possibilities, so the decision-making process is at least as important as the math involving the remaining 47 cards. Live, you aren’t even competing against the house, but against other players. Math’s still involved, but here skill dominates.

A Faraday cage or Faraday shield is an enclosure used to block electromagnetic fields. A Faraday shield may be formed by a continuous covering of conductive material, or in the case of a Faraday cage, by a mesh of such materials. Faraday cages are named after scientist Michael Faraday, who invented them in 1836.

Maybe

The tipping point here could be the uncertainty of Baker’s availability going forward. He’s a ready-made starter when healthy but after breaking his femur, it’s impossible to say one way or the other if the Chiefs can rely upon him. That said, Sneed and Ward can already handle the boundaries without Breeland and Fenton is a worthy slot corner in the middle. If Baker is ready, then Sneed is likely back inside and the Chiefs have tons of depth.

Given the declining salary cap ceiling next season to make up COVID financial losses in 2020, the Chiefs are going to have to make some tough decisions. One of those could certainly be to move forward with a young cornerback group knowing that the team has strong leaders in other places. Then again, if the front office likes the price, keeping Breeland could give the Chiefs plenty of security in the secondary going into ’21.

https://arrowheadaddict.com/2021/01/07/pff-projects-bashaud-breeland-will-re-sign-chiefs/

The Chiefs are tired of waiting around for Breeland to make up his mind? By trading for Hughes they have moved on from Baushad?

IIRC, the medical report on that it was a clean break with minimal soft tissue damage, and as I recall, it broke near the middle, which would mean there should be no problem with tendons or ligaments. The fracture was successfully reduced without complications.

Now I’m sure it takes the femur longer to heal than a broken ulna, but I seriously doubt the recovery time is 6 months longer than any other simple fracture. I see no reason to not believe that he won’t be ready to go by camp, or even skepticism. Sure, it was a freak injury, but that proves little, at best. What reason is there to believe he has unusually weak or brittle bones?

Maybe he’s holding back in hopes of getting a good long-term deal done, but on a 1-year rental, KC’s his best bet for next year’s contract hunt. He knows the scheme and that we’re a top team in the league, so unless something goes badly wrong, here’s the place to go for that sort of deal.

steve_chiefs
steve_chiefs
05/13/2021 6:30 pm

Only playing four games last season, Hughes was targeted 16 times and allowed 12 completions (75%). Opposing quarterbacks targeting him had a 126.3 passer rating and threw for one touchdown as Hughes failed to record an interception.
Hughes will get a second opportunity in Kansas City as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal. An aggressive, physical cornerback, Hughes fits the philosophy Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo likes to run. He’ll compete for playing time with projected starter Charvarius Ward and second-team corners Bopete Keyes and Rashad Fenton. There will be an opportunity for Hughes to contribute in the secondary with his new team.

If his neck is ok
Maybe he will be the slot CB

I read that the Chiefs would like to move Sneed outside

I agree. I think this coming off season will bring at least 2 quality DBs and a real EDGE player…probably a WR. If the SB hadn’t been such an abject disaster for the OL, this would not have occurred. I just hope they can get Breeland in and maybe find a couple younger guys who are cap casualties after June cuts.
