Guys who had the misfortune to play on some really stinky Chiefs teams.
Tonight: Carols Carson, whose career ended just as Marty was arriving.
Carlos Carson. For those of us lucky enough to be old, we got to watch this guy. Sometimes. Since these Chiefs were never on TV. This guy had skills. Fifth round pick in 1980, he played for 10 seasons. His best year was 1983, made a couple of Pro Bowls, and our HoF.

Not if we keep focusing on the wrong things, it won’t. But holding to the status quo is the default, for most folks.
But even if we stop trying to do the same things over and over, people have been killing other people down our entire lineage, senselessly or worse. So even if we start doing things that will actually help, it’s an unachievable goal. That’s the nature of safety measures, after all.

If we can do something to reduce the worst of them (which was done before) I’m on board. Folks got by killing each other fine before AR proliferation, and will continue without them, in a slightly less horrific manner…it’s something

The “hush money” was a binding, perfectly legal contract. NDAs happen all the time, so they are not evidence of criminal activity.
Except when it’s a possible campaign fund violation.
Then denying the payment at all, then saying “I paid it myself, no violation”, maybe not provably criminal on his part, but fucked up.
Also not all NDAs are legally binding depending on circumstances.
Was it not Fitzpatrick who led the Dolphins to a surprise victory over the Pats in the last game of the season a couple-three years ago which helped the Chiefs secure the #1 seed in the AFC?

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns have not had “substantive” extension talks with contract-year RB Kareem Hunt. There has been the loosest of internet chatter that Hunt will end up a trade candidate this summer because the Browns have a potential reliable No. 2 in D’Ernest Johnson behind Nick Chubb, but there is no financial incentive to move on from Hunt at this point, unless the Browns have cash-flow concerns. Considering the sorry state of the receiver corps, it seems unlikely they would be dying to deal Hunt’s pass-catching ability. The most likely scenario is probably Hunt playing out his deal and hitting free agency as a 27-year-old next spring.

We don’t need another RB IMO. Extend Brown then shore up the DL if we make another move.
As I said to someone here the other day, the problem with signing Brown was his lack of expert representation, who are required to craft a customized contract, especially considering they’re dealing with the Chiefs.

Raiders OL Alex Leatherwood has been working at right tackle so far in OTAs. The widely first guessed final first-round pick of the Gruden/Mayock era, Leatherwood was a rookie calamity at right tackle before taking some reps at guard. He wasn’t good on the interior, either. The new regime will probably also give Leatherwood some reps at guard at some point so they understand what they are working with. It is far from a guarantee Leatherwood earns a 2022 starting job.

I don’t think that is correct
Probably not. I think he misled himself by doing his rookie contract, since those are pretty boilerplate. In turn, he went into negotiations feeling competent, and I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Veach tried his best to accommodate him. Unfortunately, I think he hit the wall when it came to structure. That’s likely when he started seeking representation, and he had some catching up to do there, thus the delay.
1st NFL client, apparently Brown wanted someone w/o prior relationships i.e. “his” guy, IDK if that’s smart or not.
