SNF: Bears Vs Packers Open Thread

The Packers may be owned by their fans, but the Bears are owned by Arron Rodgers. Can they pull off a miracle and get a win over Aaron Rodgers?
Who are you picking to win?

My eldest brought over two of his friends today, and I’m the good kind of tired. With one coming from Cali and the other from Scotland, making fajitas was basically a command performance, since that’s what they wanted. I didn’t disappoint, either, as there were no leftovers, even though I filled my 10″ cast iron pan.
He’s got good taste in friends, I must say, I’ve enjoyed both their visits. All in all, a rare good day, and I’m leaning into enjoying that.
I had to un-rec it so I could rec it again … good for you! (and them!)
okies, time for The Old Hippie to crash n burn … have a fantabulous tomorrow, people (and don’t forget to send BBQ)
Following the contest, head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Lance broke his ankle and will undergo season-ending surgery
This got greened over at S&BP:
“The Raiders suck.
The Raiders have sucked for more years than they have been good.
Carr is not great and IS NOT the problem, the Raiders are the problem.
The Raiders sucked before Carr, with Carr, and they will suck when he is gone.
The Raiders cannot draft for a damn.
The Raiders cannot develop players/QBs.
The Raiders cannot hire a good coaching staff nor retain any staff for more than three seasons.
The Raiders suck.”
LOLOLOLOL
so, how many in Chiefs Kingdom have accounts on S&BP … hmmmmmm?
(to be fair, they DID have some damned good teams “way the hell back when”) … it’s just been a bad Century+ for ’em)
Honestly they’ve actually done a good job recently considering how much cap Carr is taking up and how little they’ve gotten from 1st round picks. Just from those 2 facts alone I’d expect them to be picking top 5 in the next draft.
… and how little they’ve gotten from 1st round picks
that … their failure rate at what should be “the best of the best” has been astounding lately (and I know we all appreciate it)
It is completely believable that they leave Arrowhead 0-4. Next week, Titans. Then us. Easy to see that.
The Packers RT nearly ripped the jersey of a Bears player with how hard he was holding.
soooo Bills go down on Monday?
yeah, sure … just don’t hold your breath
turn out the lights, the party’s over …
The Bears lost their challenge on that? I thought all turnovers are reviewed?
put a fricken chip on the damn ball
That feels like a TD to me but likely won’t be overturned.
I should have been a NFL head coach or a weatherman
you don’t have to be right and make millions of dollars
LOL … troof, brother
made me think of this one:
Easiest job in the world: Weatherman in San Diego.
Let’s see, today it will be perfect, followed by perfect tomorrow. Let’s stretch that out to a 7 day forecast. . . oh, look. Perfect all week. You stay classy, San Diego.

fly bears fly
grounded, wings clipped, fell outta the nest, ie … they pulled a Raiders
half yard line
no guts, no glory … at least they tried (just not very well)
definitely in FG range (how old is Santos now?)
he’s 30
Go Bears! maybe?
punch it in, Bears
Bears ground game is working pretty well now.
David Montgomery is the only part of the Bears offense that is working.
Herbert had a nice 27 yd run (then a false start)
the packers do not seem good enough
hard to beleive they have not been to the SB in so long
2011 was the last time
they haven’t sucked THAT much the last 10 yrs, have they? and if not (overall) it does show how difficult it really is to win on a consistent basis AND get all the way thru “The Dance”
No they have 7 playoff wins since then, only 4 teams have more (New England, Seattle, San Francisco, and unbelievably Kansas City).
there ya go … they HAVE had good teams and records … just sayin’ it’s tough to hit the jackpot no matter how good a year or the talent (parity? dumb luck? player biorhythms? a butterfly sneeze?)
well
I have short term memory
50 years of losing is forgotten
They’ve had a HOF QB for almost my entire life.
Farve & Rodgers, yup
So 2 of their 3 HoF QBs are prima donnas. They must be proud.
Bart Starr
Len Dawson
been a long long long time since both of ’em
They’ve gone to 4 NFCCG’s since then, so it they’re always playing late. It’s just they can’t get over that hump.
With different coaches, but the same QB? Hmmm….
The Bears coaches look like they have PTSD on the sideline.
Why exactly did the bears get a Sunday night game?
cause they are a huge market
I don’t think bears fans are watching anymore
not sure why I am either
I turned it off after the 2nd Jones td. It was over then
I need something to turn it to
Big Brother nah
EAFox’s ex-wife must be singing
technically, it ain’t over til it’s over …
however … Packers “win probability” is 98.7% and we ALL know that “stats don’t REALLY mean anything, it’s all context” however … Bears have 145 TOTAL yards?
… yeah, it’s over
well how many turned off the Dolphins or the Cardinals today?
neither of which are remotely as bad as Da Bears, especially tonight
the bears are driving
that they are
Eberflus is pretty good
you havez won the iNterWebZ!
to the faders and all their fans…..
Umm block in the back?
