Humor is a strange circle and if you aren’t in the radius of a certain segment of humor you won’t get it. I did it again. I just couldn’t figure out how to fit ulna in though.
As long as Marine One has been sitting there without blades spinning is not making things look good. Either Trump is arguing about wearing a mask, or he doesn’t want them to get any pictures of him being wheeled out in a stretcher.
What a dick move. He should have waited for at least ten minutes before he left the building. Now your heads gonna swell and none of use will be able to put up with you.
His only reported symptom so far is a low grade fever. Moving him now is more a PR maneuver to control the news cycle. If he’s already there and needs to go on oxygen, for instance, it’s less of a story than if they have to move him urgently.
Kind of doubt that since he just had the one escort helicopter. Any of the information coming out of this administration I would take with a grain of salt.
Not necessarily. His symptoms are a low grade fever, fatigue, and cough. He was given an experiment drug by Regeneron. So being in the hospital is a precaution.
I really have to question the decision making process. Minimize mask wearing but give an experimental drug to the President? Regardless of opinion on this particular officeholder it looks very random.
Key passage, in the context of “experimental” being used as a synonym for “reckless:”
“Both doses were well-tolerated. Infusion reactions were seen in 4 patients (2 on placebo and 2 on REGN-COV2). Serious adverse events occurred in 2 placebo patients, 1 low dose patient and no high dose patients. There were no deaths in the trial.
More than 2,000 people have been enrolled across the overall REGN-COV2 development program, and no unexpected safety findings have been reported by the Independent Data Monitoring Committee.”
Sorry, that’s still a really small sample size. From an overall “good of the country for the next 200 years” perspective I would prefer the President not get drugs that haven’t gone through the full evaluation process required for general use unless it’s a life or death situation.
Agreed. Lots of drugs that go through the whole process and get the FDA stamp of approval end up getting pulled later for killing people.
I would not personally have made that decision to give an unproven drug to a sitting president unless he was already fucked. However, I know nothing about that drug or how mild/harsh it is, so I have to trust the doctors and geniuses who made it and hope they don’t kill the president.
I do. I have had extremely good care at my local VA in CA. All of my doctors have been top-notch. Might need to go outside the gov system for specialists, but overall, the VA is good, at least in my experience.
And overweight septuagenarians on immunosuppressive drugs have skated through with minimal symptoms. I’m just saying don’t bet the house unless you have to.
I did. The risk/benefit ratio from wearing a mask is miniscule. Not so much for a drug still in the testing phase. Jumping to that in the absence of even moderate symptoms smacks of panic. Moderate symptoms defined by hypoxia, infiltrates on chest x-ray, or any of the funky coagulation problems COVID can cause.
That Regeneron article defines the risk in pretty decent detail. Of course you’re free to assume you understand the risk better than the ones who have to make and live with the decision.
Listening to CNN right now and they are really making me want to drink bleach to show my support for the office of the POTUS. I have survived Bert’s so bleach shouldn’t be a big deal.
CNN is about middle of the road in regards to cable “news” stations are concerned. I can’t stand the victim hood of FOX where the different colored people are coming in to rape and pillage, or the overly righteousness of MSNBC. CNN I can put on for background noise until something happens. When that something happens CNN starts out with just telling you what is happening. FOX goes full on conspiracy, and MSNBC tries to tell you how the right wing is trying to take away all of your rights so they can through you in a black ops hell hole.
CNN does not go to the editorial part of the story until a few hours after the event.
Lol actually FOX nowadays is complaining about all the white kids who “come in to rape and pillage” in the name of BLM and Antifia. You’d probably know that if you’d seen much of their show.
I can’t comment much about MSNBC because I haven’t seen much of their show.
CNN, they used to be my default channel. Then they changed. It’s not just that they are liberal and I’m conservative, because that never stopped me from watching and enjoying them for years. It’s that when the 2016 election happened, they CHANGED… I got theories about why, but I really can’t say I understand it, because I didn’t change in 2016, so I can’t really relate to them. I just know that since they lost…whatever it is they think they lost in 2016, I’ve had to change my default channel to NOPE.
This day ranks up with the day Reagan got shot. 9/11 is really just a blip on the average mortality rate year over year in comparison. We as a nation really over reacted to that. The best fix in response to 9/11 would have been to reinforce the cabin doors and time lock them with an over ride from ground control only. For long flights give the pilots a stocked fridge with a microwave and a private bathroom. Instead we went the route of everybody is a criminal and nobody has any rights in the airport. The thing that pisses me off the most is that they make me take my tinfoil wrapped cucumber out of my pants.
IKR? How am I supposed to impress the girls without that cucumber in my pants. Pro tip. Wear tight pants. You just look silly when the cucumber slides out around your ankle.
Thanks for all the links Brag, it wasn’t long ago chiefs were never on all the football talk show’s. Now I can’t turn my tv on without seeing the Chiefs or Patrick in a commercial. we are so blessed to have # 15 ….4-0 Sunday .
Skip Bayless is such a troglodyte. He still reverts to calling Wasp a punt even after Mahomes corrected him on his own show. He does have a point, though, that the Chiefs are a horrible matchup problem for the Ravens and that contributes to their dominance the last three years.

“Stop calling him Pat. His name is Patrick!”
That’s good stuff.
Ryan Clark eagerly picked the Ravens because all the coachspeak brainwashing he bought into during his player days is still much stronger than his own natural intelligence. That guy might be a good analyst some day if he grows up.
Kellerman regurgitates a talking point about the Ravens being a “better team” than the Chiefs, but then picks the Chiefs because he’s wise enough to know the real truth.
Stephen A. actually dropping some real truth about the nature of Lamar Jackson’s game and why the Ravens are NOT actually the “better team.” But then he picks the Ravens to win, because, well…..
I don’t think anyone would have been surprised if the Ravens won because of how they played the first two matchups and how dominant they were the first two games of the season. Especially with how depleted our defense has been.
Fair. But I don’t think anybody is surprised that the Chiefs won, either.
I think the only surprise is how badly the Chiefs dominated them. But then, I think good chance that’s just because the Ravens’ defense looked better than it actually is in those first two games. Small sample size and stuff.
Looks awesome, the old lady could eat salmon every day. We cooked up a bunch of redfish the other night, nothing better than fresh fish..
Tried a new recipe the guide told us about, ranch dressing and frenchs onions … unbelievable..
Trump is about to get air lifted to Walter Reed.
Hope the chopper crashes,
What, too soon
A little bit. As much as I personally despise him I would wish no ill will towards him, or the Marine one pilot and staff.
Agreed. The only thing I hope for is that it scares him (and everyone else) enough to take it more seriously.
It won’t. If he recovers he will continue with the same message as before. His ego will not let him admit that he is wrong at any point in time.
Well if it doesn’t kill him, then obviously it’s not dangerous, obviously.
Fair enough, I never wished harm on any pilots, or staff… And I hope he gets over the flu soon .. better??
Works. I just find it odd that he will let his ego trump (see what I did there?) his health.
Yes I noticed, and found it quite humorous …?
Humor is a strange circle and if you aren’t in the radius of a certain segment of humor you won’t get it. I did it again. I just couldn’t figure out how to fit ulna in though.
Welp, we don’t call you Rip for nothing. But he is the POTUS, so maybe dial it back just a bit. ?
Consider it dialed, it was all in jest, sometimes my warped sense of humor gets the best of me…
That’s humorous. Ha!!! Did it again! Now work ulna into your response.
You got me laughing so hard I almost broke my ulna.. ?
K. That one tickled my funny bone.
Hangs head and walks out of the room in shame.
I know, but some people here don’t have a sense of humor ?
Hahaha……?
As long as Marine One has been sitting there without blades spinning is not making things look good. Either Trump is arguing about wearing a mask, or he doesn’t want them to get any pictures of him being wheeled out in a stretcher.
Maybe he’s watching the news and doesn’t want to leave the TV as long as they’re talking about him.
I could actually see this happening.
Right?
And now he’s going out to the chopper because he just read my comment.
What a dick move. He should have waited for at least ten minutes before he left the building. Now your heads gonna swell and none of use will be able to put up with you.
Soo…… what’s different about that?
See! It’s already happening.
His only reported symptom so far is a low grade fever. Moving him now is more a PR maneuver to control the news cycle. If he’s already there and needs to go on oxygen, for instance, it’s less of a story than if they have to move him urgently.

Politics isn’t rational.
It’s all optics man. Trump thinks a mask makes him look weak. Risking life and limb on and experimental drug makes him look tough.
I’m getting the feeling that there’s one or more news channels who’re currently trying to fool people with the word “experimental.”
Here, read, don’t just trust people who act out on TV for a living: https://investor.regeneron.com/news-releases/news-release-details/regenerons-regn-cov2-antibody-cocktail-reduced-viral-levels-and

Well, overweight septuagenarians have died from covid, so…..
So…which channel have you been watching? 😛
And overweight septuagenarians on immunosuppressive drugs have skated through with minimal symptoms. I’m just saying don’t bet the house unless you have to.
So wait until he’s at death’s door before trying to do anything out of the ordinary?
Above, you commented something about inconsistent decision making regarding prevention vs emergency treatment, didn’t you?

I used to watch CNN all the time, until around October-November 2016.
The change in that network has been…inexplicable. And I guess educational.
CNN is about middle of the road in regards to cable “news” stations are concerned. If anyone ever does another 9/11 on us, they will know they are looking at a 20 year war on their home turf.
That’s a far greater infringement of rights than a mask mandate. Free the cucumbers!
IKR? How am I supposed to impress the girls without that cucumber in my pants. Pro tip. Wear tight pants. You just look silly when the cucumber slides out around your ankle.
Senator Tom Tillis has now tested positive. Mitch better hurry this SCOTUS nomination along or the Democrats will be the majority.
Thanks for all the links Brag, it wasn’t long ago chiefs were never on all the football talk show’s. Now I can’t turn my tv on without seeing the Chiefs or Patrick in a commercial. we are so blessed to have # 15 ….4-0 Sunday .
Go Chiefs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Predictions from BEFORE the game: https://tvvideonews.com/first-takes-chiefs-vs-ravens-week-3-predictions/

Yes, the surprise is how badly the beating was. I mean that was, no hyperbole, a statement win on who the class of the AFC was.
Not gonna lie, I was surprised. I mean, 10/13 on 3rd down, that oughtta be surprising against anybody except a real bad defense.
I can’t unsee that!!! Cowterd is always good for a laugh ..
And I noticed two pieces of fish today?
Larch sent me another pic to replace the blurrier one.
Looks awesome, the old lady could eat salmon every day. We cooked up a bunch of redfish the other night, nothing better than fresh fish..
Tried a new recipe the guide told us about, ranch dressing and frenchs onions … unbelievable..
This one is of rainbow trout with dried herbs and seasonings. And that’s a Warsteiner on the go beside the oil brush.
