So what’s your VotW?
We have the worst politicians that money can buy
I’ll admit to being more than a little concerned about scrolling down into ” Sausage Time ” … ; )
Still alive
I work tooooo much for a senior citizen
Hernandez throwing soft balls
Yeah I’m real tired of people turning down 95 million over 5 years. Just the thought makes me want to up chuck into the Big O’s filthy mouth.
That’s how I feel.
Chiefs Overplayed their hand in free agency last year offering 49ers LT more guaranteed $$ and $23m per annual. Brown agent be like…..this is our starting ASK.
Sure Brown wanted stacks more guaranteed $$$…this is part of reason he didn’t sign that long term offer.
Good part Brown will play this year & be in training camp.
Good part Brown will play this year & be in training camp.
Based on what?
agree
is he gonna be there?
Good point but Brown is not the the 9er’s left tackle
I don’t think they over played their hand. There’s a big difference between Williams and brown no matter what brown thinks
I think Brown screwed up
IF Thuney starts the season at LT why change?
Brown only screws up if he holds out. I think he over played his hand (especially if the offer really was $23M) and it didn’t work out for him. But I don’t really blame him for the attempt. These types of gambles sometimes work in the players favor, sometimes not. But if he plays the season he has another shot at getting the money he wants. If he holds out, he’ll never see anything close to what he was offered here…ever, from anyone.
The play can work sometimes, sitting a season never does…one guy made it work, can’t remember whom.
I don’t mind Brown betting on himself. If I were him I’d be the first guy at camp and get my fat arse into shape.
maybe I should get his cell number so you can call him and tell him
I’d like to see you call him a fat ass to his face — hes 6’8″ 375 lbs
“You’re a fat ass. SIR, and I mean that in the nicest way.”

Who’s got the huddle tomorrow?
Sorry. Just saw this.
not like there is any convo on this thread now
gonna watch war movies
maybe forever
Taken care of , no worries..
Please tell me there’ll be ” Coffee ” … ; )
And that’s the question isn’t it? At that size, can he improve enough to deserve an elite contract? He’s a really big dude for LT.

So he doesn’t have to sign the tag offer until he starts playing, right? So he could sit for all of the preseason and some of the regular season? LTs are valuable, and frankly 8th best LT was not going to get it done. 5th, and he’s probably signed.
PFF says 23rd ranked left tackle
The video said his actual pay would have placed him as the 8th highest paid. He wanted #1 pay, I’m saying that if they got him to top 5, he probably signs
According to Dan on RGR the final offer was #1 money and Brown turned it down. He suspected the guarantee was too low for Browns liking but the yearly average was $23M
it was definitely #1 RT money
I’ve seen a couple of places that it wasn’t that high, but yeah, I think the guaranteed money was the sticking point
Yeah I’ve seen some different reports as well. Nothing is consistent at this point. But $19M was the offer earlier this week. Since there were no reports of a complete stalemate, that leads me to believe the latest was higher. Also RGR has some connections, and while not always right, they are more often than not reporting from credible sources. So until reports say otherwise. I think it’s safe to assume the final offer was close to that $23M mark
NFL generated $11 billion in national revenue in 2021
I got a call from Home Depot saying that my washer/dryer were ready early and to enter my 10 digit number to schedule it early. Problem is I didn’t know if they meant my phone number, or that was an order number, so I did my phone number. That was apparently the wrong answer as they said “Sorry, I don’t recognize that” and hung up on me. I’d like my order early if possible so I tried calling back but I literally couldn’t get to a place that would let me schedule it earlier and couldn’t get to an actual person to ask.

Schwartz was tremendous for the #Chiefs during all his years, but his ’19 postseason was unreal: Had a 92.8 PFF grade, 89.3 pass-blocking & 94.0 run-blocking. 0 sacks allowed & just 1 pressure. KC won the Super Bowl. They greatly missed him in the Super Bowl vs. TB a year later.
With this man at the helm, it’s all but a done deal.

The 3 p.m. CT deadline for NFL franchise players to sign long-term extensions has passed. That indeed means Chiefs LT Orlando Brown can only play under a one-year deal in 2022. Not expecting any official comment from Chiefs today. Andy Reid will meet with reporters next Friday.
Waiting for a deal to get done…

The upstairs neighbors haven’t been banging into walls in the middle of the night, dropping all sorts of things on the floor, which means I’ve been able to sleep a LOT better.
Some girl that knows the meaning of, ah-
Hey, hit the highway!
I always enjoyed this one ..
It’s been covered all day, so it’s not a done deal

A report this week indicated that Brown could stay away from the team into the regular season, and Bates reportedly has plans to sit out the season.
I have never heard of any player benefitting by holding out.
If I was the owner, if he misses camp I would put him on the bench. Pay the man he’s 16 million or what ever. And go to plan B ..
I guess we know how much cap space we will have , this issue with brown will affect that decision as well..and who we could have grabbed later…
We needed to come out strong this year, now we will have a LT with no team reps in camp ….
LT with no team reps in camp who tends to be on the overweight side already
and isn’t “the best” at pass-protection anyway … pffffffffffft … no sympathy for the guy whatsoever
bring on eric fisher!
Probably my favorite Fisher play.
Without a doubt.
Ok, that’s creepy, even though I know what’s going on
“Yeah doc I can feel your fingernails, now get away from me. Got business to take care of”
“So last night, was it good for you?”
IF the Chiefs signed Fisher
that would be a huge FUCK YOU to Brown
I totally endorse this
