Kudos to Brown and Tanogho – Excellent job of keeping the pass rushers away from Mahomes. Toney is our new version of Tyreek. Pacheco ran with authority – will learn from his turnover. Noah Gray has quietly won my respect and approval for being the number two TE over Fortson. Saunders is proving me wrong about him. Chenal had his best game.

Here are names that I normally do not compliment much after the game. My only worry is that Andy and EB are trying to teach CEH a lesson and will return to the MEHness in the next game or so.

How about the RT Wanogho that came in to replace Wylie? I don’t know details on how he did, but we didn’t see him pointed out as giving up pressure or anything.

I also give a shout-out to the refs, who let the game go on smoothly for the most part. Flag-fest games are the worst.

Chiefs do need to keep winning games, not concerned about AFC West (should be a “lock” esp with a W vs Chargers on Sunday) … however, a loss here and there could well knock KC down from current top spot

the Ravens, FWIW, have arguably the softest schedule remaining, and it’s POSSIBLE (if not likely) they COULD win out

Week 11: vs. Panthers (2-7) Week 12: @ Jaguars (3-6) Week 13: vs. Broncos (3-5) Week 14: @ Steelers (2-6) Week 15: @ Browns (3-5) Week 16: vs. Falcons (4-5) Week 17: vs. Steelers (2-6) Week 18: @ Bengals (5-4)

If it seems like it’s getting crowded everywhere, that’s not just a feeling: analysts say that the world’s population has now reached eight billion people.

Ian Anderson, speaking about the song, had this to say, “Despite the title, it’s actually about the problems of population explosion and the demands society puts on us as a consequence. We’re on a train heading in the future, whatever that might lead, and we cannot get off. The song is meant to be a bit scary and threatening.”

Glad you put that up, Nas, I always thought this tune had overtones of threat/concern/worry. “…and it won’t slow down…”

This season is the first time the Broncos have failed to score at least 24 points in a game through the first nine games of a season in franchise history

my heart (almost) goes out to my Bronco fans in Denver and elsewhere around the state (not quite, but almost)

The implosion going on with the Denver Donkeys makes me happy. Especially considering my last few years in the military I was surrounded by idiot bandwagon Donkey fans who would say things like “BUT DA DONKEEZ HAS DA PAYTON MANNYNG AND U SHOLD BE DONKEEZ FAN” (and yes, they would talk/type like that).

And we had Romeo crennel, pioli and cassel/Quinn. That was probably my lowest point as a chiefs fan.

I’ve seen worse Chiefs teams (late 70’s) but not many … we’ve had a few (even Herm’s teams were better than that hot mess)

2012 was definitely the low point in my 33 years as a fan.

But… it led us to 2013 and beyond, which I would not take back.

meanwhile …

The Chargers’ five second-half possessions gained 57 net yards, three first downs and ended with three punts, a turnover on downs and an interception

the KC defense should be geared up for this one, those are some scary good stats and Chiefs can NOT take the Chargers lightly

so last night might maybe be one of the few times a team (or fans) probably “should” (or could) blame the refs (just reading about the “blatant” non-call facemask from last night)

true dat, and yeah they (Eagles) did so my main point still holds true … that said, the officiating league-wide could be a lot better, a lot more consistent

Looks like there was a unnecessary roughness call that essentially sealed the game on the commandos last drive. I didn’t see it.

We should coin a new phrase for “Mahomes homer”… From now on, Nick is a “Mahomer.”

A victory over the Chargers should all but wrap up the division. We can then focus on keeping the number one seed and being prepared for the playoffs. All teams in the AFC bracket will be solid but we are definitely staying at the top.

Patrick Mahomes seems to be pulling away with the MVP race, especially if he adds three or four touchdowns in a Sunday night game. He has a five TD lead on Josh Allen who is now receiving criticism from the talking heads about his performance. Tua is probably the closest competition and I do not see him having the juice to catch up to Mahomes and his statistics. Tyreek will be offensive player of the year – no MVP for him.

Joe Delaney… Man, I wish I could have seen him play. When I was a young Nasrani, I found a book in elementary school about the history of the Chiefs (up to about 1993), and they had a nice tribute to him in there. I gained a lot of respect for him after reading about his heroism saving those kids… I can’t remember the name of the book, but Delaney’s deeds really stuck with me.

I remember a preseason game where he trucked Hollywood Henderson. Not pretty to see. The man hurt you when you tried to tackle him.
