Good Morning, AG!
Today in Chiefs history, not much to talk about. There is some Gracie footwear stuff, but that’s new and won’t be history for another year. Watch this space then!
Elsewhere, in 2000, Israel ended its 18-year occupation of southern Lebanon, withdrawing the last of its troops from its self-declared security zone.
1994: Four men convicted in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City were each sentenced to 240 years in prison; the terrorist attack had killed 6 people and injured some 1,000.
1941: Bob Dylan, who was hailed as the Shakespeare of his generation, was born in Duluth, Minnesota. (“Shakespeare” might be a little over the top)
1938: Carl Magee of Oklahoma was granted a U.S. patent for the first coin-controlled parking meter, which become ubiquitous on streets around the country. Thanks a lot, Carl.
1883: The Brooklyn Bridge was opened, and immediately sold to a tourist
1856: A group of abolitionists led by John Brown launched a nighttime raid on a proslavery settlement at Pottawatomie Creek in Kansas Territory during which five men were murdered.
And in 1830, The first line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad opened with the maiden voyage of Peter Cooper’s locomotive Tom Thumb.
Now it’s on to the news. Well, actually, it’s a lot of DHop today.

cool, ty!
Tragically, shortly after this picture was taken, he fell into a wood chipper.

not politics – or as I say polishits!!
this post is about looking out for others (save your $$$ just in case)
..
Better hope the clowns in DC — bump up the us debt ceiling, by June 1st. Especially for the peeps that are retired & need that social security $$$$$…….potential delay in payments.
..
..
If the U.S. defaults, “it is unlikely that the federal government would be able to issue payments to millions of Americans, including our military families and seniors who rely on Social Security,”
..
..
Good part: U.S. has never defaulted on its debt
..
..
doesn’t matter who’s in office (democrat or republican). USA is on its 46th President — the us debt ceiling been raised MORE than 46th times.
..
..

you can call it whatever you want, but it is a political post
but, no doubt, people around here will comment on this and skip over the football stuff
Arrowhead “Facebook” Guys .com
personal well-being will always be more important than sports – that’s the purpose of that post.
I love USA, just not the greedy clowns in DC.
maybe there should have been doubt

The Detroit Lions Are A Team On The Rise For 2023
*
DeAndre Hopkins, Budda Baker absent on first day of Cardinals OTAs: Was this expected?
our game against Detroit to open the season looks like a “trap” game to me! Don’t sleep on Detroit
I say that for EVERY game of the season. Don’t ever sleep on any team.
no doubt, people around here will comment on this and skip over the football stuff
what is this “football” of which you speak?
methinks someone doth protest too much … Talking Heads, Ridiculous Opinions and “Pretend Scenarios” (omg we MUST have HOPKINS!) and even OTAs do not qualify as “football”
(my 3 cents)
Just as I predicted, a comment from you about non football stuff. I think that 10 football posts to every music video entitles me to the football-centric category. Just looking over all the comments this morning and after a great huddle with no less than 11 well put together “headlines” by NOVA. There was 27 comments with none being about football. 1 comment about football, which no one responded to. Then add to those comments, another member talking the debt ceiling. Today is typical for a morning huddle.
Chiefs blog? Give me a break
Just my 2 cents, asswipe
it is indeed a great MH … so, how many OTHERS have you jumped on today about “non football comments” … RIP? Hoosier? Pompano? Nova?
none of them??? oh, I get it …
you’re ENTITLED!
(whatever)
yes, you’re entitled to your own opinion … and pretty much everything on this blog is opinion (including what someone thinks about DeAndre Hopkins or the Chiefs roster or JJ Watt {wait, JJ Watt isn’t with the Chiefs!!!}
you’ve often said “if you don’t like it don’t read it and don’t comment” … you REALLY should take your own advice (at least on that)
as for your 12 yo “asswipe” comment … shove it (no personal attacks, remember? oh, I keep forgetting: you’re ENTITLED!)
On one hand, it’s a Chiefs blog and OTA’s and what-ifs are still related to football. We also agreed to leave politics (at least) out of the MH.
On the other hand, even the MH has notes on political and non-football events that happened on this date.
So… I say “you do you”.
thank you, cuz I can’t do anyone BUT me (whatever me is) … or, ummmmmmmmmm … you get the (rough) idea
goes live at 1;00pm
Nice! I wonder if the Chiefs might see him as also a RB.
