Former SB Champ: Patrick Mahomes Becomes GOAT if Chiefs Three-Peat | Sports Illustrated

Fresh off a second Super Bowl win in a row, there’s plenty at stake for the Kansas City Chiefs entering the 2024-25 campaign. If Andy Reid’s club can accomplish a three-peat, it would be the only team in NFL history to do so. That’d put the organization in rarefied air even more than it already has, further cementing a dynasty to stand for decades to come.

There are also some personal storylines to monitor, namely the legacy of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. A three-time champion before turning 29 years old, the two-time NFL MVP is off to the best start to an NFL career. With Reid and general manager Brett Veach locked up on contract extensions, the infrastructure is present for continued success. How big of an impact would a three-peat have on Mahomes himself, though?

Ryan Fitzpatrick discusses ‘Amazon Prime’ career, Patrick Mahomes’ success | Chiefs Wire

The immediate success of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has placed him atop the league. Players past and present have marveled at his abilities and continue to give their opinions on what could be the secret to his domination.

Chiefs Wire’s Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Ryan Fitzpatrick about his transition to becoming a television analyst for Amazon Prime’s football coverage after retirement and his thoughts on Patrick Mahomes.

Swifties love that fan threw a football to Mahomes and Kelce at Taylor Swift show | Wichita Eagle via Yahoo Sports

Perhaps this will placate the football fans who tired of the 26 seconds of air time given to international singing star Taylor Swift at a Chiefs game.  During Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Amsterdam on Saturday, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was there again to support Swift. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, also were on hand at Johan Cruijff Arena for the concert.

Many fans in attendance turned their phones toward the Chiefs stars and shared photos and videos on social media.  One video in particular caught the fancy of Chiefs fans.

Chiefs Pro Bowlers mentioned in ‘Hard Knocks Offseason with the New York Giants’ premiere | Chiefs Wire

Chiefs Pro Bowlers mentioned in ‘Hard Knocks Offseason with the New York Giants’ premiere

Although the Kansas City Chiefs weren’t chosen for any variations of the hit HBO series Hard Knocks this year, they are still prominently featured.

Hard Knocks Offseason with the New York Giants premiered with a detailed look into the franchise’s decisions this offseason. General Manager Joe Schoen discusses various options to help push the team forward, including possibly signing then-free agent Chris Jones, as Giants’ director of pro scouting Chris Rossetti explained.

Chiefs 2024 MVP Prediction: Mahomes Alone at the Top, Who’s Next in KC MVP Rankings? | Sports Illustrated

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn’t just the most valuable player in Kansas City; he’s a two-time NFL MVP and perennial automatic MVP contender. With Mahomes clearly slotted as the first choice, which other Chiefs players will have the best argument for being “most valuable” to the team’s success in 2024?

Let’s start by giving Mahomes his slam-dunk spotlight. Eric Edholm of NFL Media made his picks for all 32 team MVPs for the 2024 NFL season and he unsurprisingly made his case for Mahomes while noting that at least one other Chief may be able to build some sort of argument.

This one looks better! I’m down here in Florida and thought I’d check the Chiefs news, and kept thinking I’ve seen this recently…. you are getting quicker at fixing it though!

I tried to make the links live and center them up, but 1) wouldn’t make the link live and 2) even though it shows centered in the draft, it isn’t here. Yes, I updated it.
So strange.
