Titans request interviews with Chiefs’ Eric Bieniemy, Matt Nagy for OC vacancy

Former Browns & Chiefs WR Josh Gordon suits up for the Seattle Sea Dragons | Browns Wire
https://sports.yahoo.com/look-former-browns-wr-josh-210943402.html
Somewhere in an alternate timeline, wide receiver Josh Gordon won multiple receiving titles for the Cleveland Browns outside of just his 2013 campaign. The path of Gordon, however, is well-documented as he spent more time suspended by the NFL than he did on the field for the Browns. He bounced around the NFL, from the New England Patriots to the Seattle Seahawks, to the Kansas City Chiefs, and most recently with the Tennessee Titans. He has since been drafted into the XFL by the Seattle Sea Dragons.

2023 NFL Draft order, team needs: Bottom half of first round shuffles as 2023 NFL playoffs begin| CBS Sports
The 2023 NFL playoffs have begun and we already know where non-playoff teams are positioned in the 2023 NFL Draft. There was some shakeup at the top during the last week of the regular season, most notably in Indianapolis, where the Houston Texans trailed the Colts by seven in the final minute of the game, but scored a touchdown and added a two-point conversion — costing themselves the No. 1 pick after the Bears lost to the Vikings. Whether your favorite team falls into the former or the latter category, CBSSports.com breaks down positioning in the draft order, team needs and notable free agents.

Hubbardโs 98-yard fumble return lifts Bengals over Ravens | AP News
Facing third-and-goal at the 1 with about 12 minutes left, Huntley tried to go over the top of the line for the go-ahead score. But he was stood up by Germaine Pratt and stripped by fellow linebacker Logan Wilson.
The ball went right to Hubbard at the 2, and the defensive end took off down the field for the longest fumble return for a touchdown in NFL postseason history. It also was the longest go-ahead TD in the fourth quarter in the postseason.

NFL playoffs: No lead safe, drama abounds in wild weekend | AP News
The Buffalo Bills blew a 17-point advantage before recovering to win Sunday. That narrow escape came less than 24 hours after the Jacksonville Jaguars overcame a 27-point deficit and pulled off one of the most stunning comeback victories in playoff history.
No lead is safe and the drama abounds so far in the NFL playoffs.
The Kelce Brothers chat with Gronk
Dodged a damn bullet. Lucky Bills/Bengals
And Chefferrs can’t ref the AFC Championship Game
YAY! But…why?
They may work the SB though.
You have to be a “Tier 1” official to work the SB. Any Tier 1 officials who don’t get the SB get the Conference Championship games, and if there’s still more Tier 1s they will get Divisional games. The SB officials will also get a divisional game.
Taxes.
Last mega millions drawing of $1.35 billion. After Taxes for one-time payout = $368 million
The Taxes = wow!!
Taking the one time payout reduces the pot by about 35%.
Then you get taxed on top of the remaining amount.
Still better to take the 1 time payout if you don’t expect to live 40 more years.
well hell, that’s ONLY about $10/yr average … I mean, who the hell can live on THAT paltry amount? ๐
I think with the big jackpots I’d take the annuitizied payout
The NFL began searching for potential neutral sites. It’s unclear what input the Bills had, but a league source said the Chiefs indicated they wanted an outdoor site on natural grass. They ended up getting a covered stadium on turf.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/detailing-potential-neutral-site-afc-championship-game-between-chiefs-and-bills-could-this-be-the-future/
Thanks for asking.
(insert cheese image here)
It costs the city of KC approx $10M to lose the game
It costs the Chiefs the Arrowhead advantage (whatever that might be)
We are one of two teams playing in the game, and our wishes were completely ignored. Did Buffalo have requests? I don’t know, but I can imagine they also would want an outdoor stadium.
You don’t think the participants should have some say in it?
You think that’s whining?
at least it’s not an outdoor stadium in Buffalo …
just sayin’
besides, I have no doubt whatsoever than when Clark Hunt has an opinion or request, a whole lotta people at the league level (Owners, NFL, NFLPA) listen very carefully
are you ready for the 2023 Draft? I heard it’s in a decent city this year …
The NFL is using this as a trial run for NFL neutral site Conference Championship Games, much like the Superbowl.
The question becomes how many people will be willing to for out thousands of dollars for this trip, and subsequently thousands more for a Superbowl trip 2 weeks later. The league seems to think there is potential for these games to turn into mini Superbowl events, but there is only 1 week to plan for fanbases and corporate sponsors may not want to spend that much in back to back weeks.
Not to mention, the league has been using city and state tax money to build stadiums and are now going to decide where the biggest games will get played instead of allowing those venues to recoup some of the tax dollars used.
Well, if that’s true, then they need it to happen to see how it works. If the Bengals win, it’s off. If the Jags win, it’s off.
Guess that settles it. Can’t see if it works if it doesn’t happen
A reminder of when Chiefs hosted the Jaguars in November. Andre Cisco got fined after a hit to Juju, leaving plenty of Chiefs players very upset.
MVS had his 1st TD of the Year, Kadarius Toney had his 1st NFL TD.
I watched the highlights from that game and we handled them pretty well. Our offense looked like they were having a fairly easy time of it and our defense had a few plays as well. Hoping for a repeat.
that was then, this is now … and it IS the Enn Eff Ell where almost anything goes (whatta wild weekend, right?)
that said, I’d certainly like to think “Chiefs got this!” but ya just never know, so …
Geaux Chiefs!
I think of it in terms of likelihood…
And I think the Chiefs are more likely to win at home again against the Jags.
Frank Clark 11 career sacks in the playoffs are the fifth-most by a defender in NFL history.
.
He needs two sacks to pass both Reggie White (12) and Terrell Suggs (12.5) for the third-most all-time.
Exhibit A on why sacks as a stat to evaluate players, particularly a small sample size like playoff sacks, mean almost nothing.
He averages ~1 sack every 3 games over the last 2 years so it’s very unlikely that he gets 2 in this postseason. A boy can dream though.
Frank has (or had) a playoff gear. Let’s hope he can find it again
The innovation thatโs kept Andy Reid, Chiefs ahead of NFL: โHe could get my dad openโ | KC Star via yahoo!sports

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce watches the video on an iPhone in front of his locker, explaining how a few steps – even those barely ramping up to a jog – make all the difference.
The replay is from a fourth-quarter snap against Seattle on Christmas Eve, and as Kelce starts on the screen as the outside receiver and then motions in, he keeps his pace slow on purpose.
the best takeaway?
The Chiefsโ hidden weapon on offense is motion, with coach Andy Reid utilizing it differently than any other NFL team.
The real magic comes when KC targets its receivers that are moving pre-snap. In that setting – even among a league typically full of copycats – the Chiefs are three times more productive than the next-best team in the NFL

For a while Sunday, it looked like the Miami Dolphins might be coming to Arrowhead Stadium for next weekendโs AFC Divisional playoff game.
But the Bills got things turned around and held off the Dolphins. That win, coupled with Cincinnatiโs victory over the Ravens, means another team from Florida will be in Kansas City this Saturday.
That’s fine. We are 0-3 in the playoffs against the Fish, anyway

Chargers PR department put out a chargers hype video before jags game…I think it was about chargers beating jags ๐
counted chickens before chickens hatched hahahaa
Jags over Chargers: Jags commit 5 turnovers, get none, win
Chiefs over Jags: Chiefs commit 3 turnovers, get none, win
The moral to the story is…?
If the Jags turn it over 5 times on Saturday and we turn it over 3 times, we still win.

I thought the play calling by the Ravens and dolphins was atrocious yesterday. Know your personnel.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35457784/jk-dobbins-frustrated-lack-carries-ravens-playoff-loss-bengals
Dolphins had no real QB so there’s that, Ravens
wouldmight have won had it not been for a ridiculous play by the LB(s) knocking the ball out of Huntley’s hands on his goal-line leap (and Huntley looks to be the QBotF for the Ravens, Lamar be gone)that said: both teams played well, and I’m a leave it to the true experts in terms of who should do what (ie, the coaches on those teams who know a whole lot more than we do, and I get that this or that guy may feel underused and underappreciated, and so it goes)
The dolphins pick was probably more costly than the 4th and 1 fiasco. Just a terrible call putting your 3rd string qb in that position.
Before the 4th and fiasco they also seemed to be calling all 15 yard pass plays. When they had plenty of time to matriculate the ball down the field.

OK … So We’re NOT gonna talk about the Blatant / Textbook BLOCK IN THE BACK on the Bengals’ Fumble Return ? … C’mon Refs … A LITTLE consistency Puleese !!! …SMDH … : (
( Oh & ” Roughing ” the Passer Too ??? !!! … Asking for my #95 Friend … ; )
( Both Game Changers !!! )
The roughing the passer literally had no change in outcome, plus cousins was hit in the head which SHOULD be a foul 100% of the time
Even Perrara (sp ? ) – Former Head of Officiating – Said in the Booth it was a weak call / glancing blow …Similar ones go Un-Called … My Point …
Which roughing? The one Cousins?
for us old timersโฆ..rip Gina Lollobrigida
equally as beautiful as Sofia Loren …
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Very sad day.
Anyone here want to gift me (or give me a tremendous discount) for the Chiefs-Jags game Saturday? It’s at a time I could actually go.
At $750 a ticket. You’re not likely to get a response
I’ll take the nosebleed section. Seeing some at $137 at Seatgeek.
Jump. I saw quotes for $30 up there
only this is you gotta have 12″ Binoculars to see anything, and for those you need a HUGE solid, sturdy tripod … otherwise you’re lookin’ at little tiny ants way way far away
also, Wild Turkey 101 can be invaluable on a cold day (don’t ask how I know, I just do)
Better to pay $137 for that privilege vs $350, no?
What we haven’t asked 3rd is “What is your record going to games?”. If it isn’t spotless, consider a bar.
haven’t gone since early 80’s and hoo boy, the team was horrible …
