Know your Chiefs – Rashee Rice

Rashee Rice was born on April 22, 2000, in North Richmond Hills, Texas, where he attended Richland High School.  As a junior he was named first team all-district, catching 72 passes for 1386 yards.  He was a three start recruit and committed to SMU before his senior year. He had also received offers from Washington State, Houston, Virginia, Texas Tech, Northwestern, and others. 

As a college freshman, he had 25 receptions for 403 yards and a td.  He became the starter his sophomore year and had 48 catches for 683 yards and 5 td’s.  His junior year had 64 catches and 670 yards.  His senior year averaged 8 catches a game and 1355 yards. 

He spent time catching balls from Patrick Mahomes in the off season, and Mahomes heavily endorsed him.  The Chiefs drafted him in the 2^nd round of the 2023 draft.
