Michael Danna was born on December 4, 1997, in Detroit, Michigan.  He played high school football at De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren, Michigan, where he let them to the 2014 state title.  His parents are Cynthia and Vaughn Danna, and he graduated high school with a 3.2 grade point average.

He played College football for Central Michigan.  He redshirted his first year and played three seasons with them, and transferred to the University of Michigan as a grad transfer for his final year and was a part-time starter.

He did not receive a Combine invite, since most of his career was spent in the MAC, but was still noticed by the Chiefs.   He was selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2020 draft.

Mike Danna has been a solid addition to the line. I am glad we have him. He’s looked good despite still going through some growing pains. Once he gets those under control he is going to be formidable.

Echoing a claim made Saturday by WaywerdSon, I would like to see that kid Hutchinson from Michigan added to the D-line as well. I believe he has the highest sack total for the Wolverines, and the chemistry between he and Danna is there as well since both played at UMich.
