Usually by this time in the morning, the Chiefs have posted several things to their Twitter feed. Today it remains just this.

Ouch!
It was a brutal loss. I know some of you are going to be pretty upset and I know better than to rah-rah the rest of the fanbase after the Chiefs get their teeth kicked in.
The Chiefs didn’t play well and almost everything that could’ve gone wrong for the team, did go wrong.
The line played badly on both sides. Kenneth Walker III, Patrick Mahomes II and Travis Kelce were all beat down, thoroughly.
Harrison Butker and L’Jarius Sneed won’t be winning any popularity contests this week in Kansas City and all the positivity in the world won’t stop the mob after a loss like that… It was brutal and they deserve their pitchforks to a certain extent.
On to the Broncos:
On November 1st, the Chiefs are set to take on the Broncos on a late Sunday afternoon in Denver.
Both teams have five wins, but the Broncos have two losses to the Chiefs’ one. The Broncos are going to be looking for revenge after week one.
Here are some tweets from around the aftermath of the loss:
I had a sense the Chiefs would struggle in tonights game after national news broke earlier today about someone having their feet up at a team meeting. It just started the day off on a negative tone. Oh well. On to the next battle. https://t.co/2oWqCe2E7i

Surely Chiefs Kingdom won’t overreact this week and think doomsday is approaching, right? https://t.co/7XPgOKM5J3

Harrison Butker’s 15 missed kicks (10 FGs, 5 PATs) since start of last season are the most in NFL.

Some of the Chiefs takes are the usual unserious ones They drafted a franchise LT in 25 in the first round. Unfortunately it seems he’s not playing this season. They spent money on the best free agent signing (Walker) When Rice and Thornton were both healthy the passing attack was very good. Hard for any offense to function in Seattle down two OTs, 2 WRs

These are the types of games when you are missing a big time WR tonight

During the Chiefs’ 20-3 loss to the Seahawks, Kansas City never reached the red zone, the first time that has happened in a Patrick Mahomes NFL start, with Sunday being his 153rd career start including playoffs. https://t.co/wzsTobILH9

Silver lining: Anyone in KC would have taken 5-1 to start the season back in August. Gotta love where they sit after 7 weeks. The other side of the coin: Championship aspirations took a real kick to the groin. Roster is way too thin at key spots to take things over the top.

It’s Broncos Week!
I’m not going to tell any of you how to fan or how to cope with a loss. However, I will say that the Chiefs are gritty and they will find a way to come together and put forth a better effort against the Denver Broncos.

Here’s a recap from the mothership:

They finally put up another tweet, I don’t envy McMullen writing this.
The ONLY person I saw trying to fire anyone up was Travis Kelce.
Whenever the team looks like their puppy died on the sidelines, we almost always lose. No energy. No fight. No grit. No spirit. It makes me fee like something happened in the locker room before the game, or on the flight to Seattle… something got these guys all down and depressed BEFORE the game. Maybe the hotel sucked; I don’t know.
If we want to have any hope to win in Denver, we’ll need to get fired up A LOT more. They’ll have to be more energetic, vocal, and have some fun. If they can do that, it will significantly increase our chances of winning.
I was thinking the same thing. maybe the undefeated record was going to their heads a bit. getting beat down like that may send a better message than anything someone could say.
Especially since the Chiefs like to think of themselves as Super Bowl caliber. Getting beat down by the previous and current Champs in their own “LOUD” house probably was the biggest message this team could receive.
I’m not sure what happened other than just thinking they were ready and then not being ready.
I don’t think we’ll see that lack of focus and urgency in Denver.
Denver is going to give the Chiefs all they can handle if they show up with no urgency and ho-hum energy.
The Chiefs need a positive spark and it starts with Mahomes.
We just looked sluggish and slow. Most of the close-ups I saw showed sad-looking faces. Even early on when the game was well within reach, they looked like they were about to cry.
I feel like there was something off the field that affected everyone. Or maybe it was just a bad flight or something.
Or this could have been the reason….
Yeah, we got our asses kicked hard.
But I maintain the reason for that is because there was little to no energy at all in their attitudes or their bodies.
Locker room drama?
Interpersonal friction?
Not enough sleep?
Too much sleep?
Bad food on the plane?
Something is going on outside of football.
Whatever it was, let’s hope it doesn’t happen again.
