What is bothersome about that incompletion to Schultz is that the defense was playing so soft as to allow that catch on the sideline, there was no one anywhere near the receiver. The officials had literally nothing to do but watch him catch that pass. His off-foot was clearly off the ground as he loped over to catch it with only one foot in-bounds. How in the world was that ever ruled complete by NFL refs?
They couldn’t have asked for an easier play in which to rule correctly. It took a replay of a couple of minutes to determine the obvious of the obvious. Troubling.
