Britt Reid was in a car accident last night. The AG legal department says we can only say he was maybe drunk. Unfortunately two children were injured, one seriously.

Continuing stories of stupid crap that people do – my dad had went to a party and got wasted. On the way home, he ended up driving thru a field and driving down the runway of a rural airport. When I was young, I picked up a hooker and we got stuck on some railroad tracks. She got behind the wheel of the car – I jacked it up and pushed it off the jack as she accelerated. On the bright side, he wrecked his car and lost his keys (they fell into one of the dents as he inspected the damage once he got home) but I got a blowjob and my car sustained no damage at all.
If we even pay any attention to that dingus, I would ask the following question. Is it a crime to be a bad parent? I am not talking about abuse but simply sucking at being a parent.

Also Mr. Mayor is pretty funny. Hope they keep it up, most sitoms are unwatchable.

When I was a young man, I was at the bowling alley and was toasted. Got mad at the way I was bowling and made liberal use of the F word. My former mother-in-law chastised me – that was the one word she hated. I told her that no one could tell me how to talk and proceeded to say the F word a dozen or so more times. Had to man up and apologize the next day and was very surprised that I did not get beat down by my former father-in-law. I have grown up since then.
AND I drove home without anyone even thinking about taking my keys. Different time back then.

I dropped the bomb nearly every other fucking word with a holy roller at a pool party for the building, the other residents smiled or looked away but I was not contentuous, merely making a point. He took it well and we shook hands before he left.
I was raised that way – every other word from my dad was fuck – mad or not. “Get me a fucking spoon” as an example. The in laws were not so there was an adjustment period. Old age has helped my fucking vocabulary though.

Taste matters, nobody’s obligated to like any of them.
That said, even the Skips of the genre are good interviewers, and their interviews needn’t be avoided because of their usual antics. As much as he annoys me otherwise, when he pairs up with Chris Simms I find him to actually be watchable – and I’m close to burnt out on all the talking heads.
Contrast that to the sort of interview you’d expect Sweeny to run, and even Skip becomes downright palatable.
Chris Simms is very smart and makes good points but lacks a lot in the personality department.
I try and catch most of them – typically on you tube after the fact – Shannon Sharpe tends to be the one I agree with the most – hate to say that about a former Bronco but he is a smart man.
I used to be a diehard Herd guy. I would DVR his show and watch it every day. I used to just love his takes. But ever since he moved to FS1, I don’t know, it just seems like something is missing. I can’t explain it, but it isn’t the same show(IMO)
He does have the hottest host on TV.

I’ve never been a big Kevin Kietman fan. I always felt he was overrated. And I don’t agree with blaming Andy for his sons death. That is Bush league shock jock radio at best. Now I don’t think he should have lost his career and been canceled over it, but that is another topic for another day. It was in poor taste on his part
That said, we need to have a discussion on Britt and what is going on here. A child might die due to his poor judgement. That is serious shit. And he does have a history of substance abuse that can’t be ignored. So I hope people can discuss this in a delicate and mature way without being shouted down because it is a serious issue we are dealing with right now

I might be alone on this, but I don’t think Britt Reid should be fired for drunk driving. If the kid dies and it turns into manslaughter then he should be fired.
I think driving drunk is stupid and selfish, but it is an away from work accident. How many people here would be fired from their workplace for a misdemeanor?
The only caveat I would put on it, is he was drinking at the Chiefs offices and then got into an accident.

Most people would lose their jobs with a felony.
I just think it is a dangerous slope if people start getting fired for misdemeanors.
If there is an ethics clause, it won’t matter. If I was arrested for a DUI, I could be let go because I could lose my registry. If he signed something that says something like this is fireable, then felony/misdemeanor won’t matter. No clue if he did or not.
Getting a DUI hasn’t been a firing offense for players in the past. Coaches, I don’t know, perhaps that’s a different policy.
Now the crash and injuries alter things, but leaving that aside the functionality I’d expect is that Britt has to stop driving for the year and is suspended while he gets treatment. Injuries would involve other aspects, but the court findings will likely govern their ultimate response, not media reports.
Coaches should be held to a higher standard.

I hate that a kid is hurt. And drunk drivers piss me off to no end. But I also try not to have knee jerk reactions.
Drunk driver killed my mom and got a light sentence and he was flying down the road when he hit her and slammed her against a tree. Hard for me not to have a knee jerk reaction but I believe we need to look at every factor here.

TMZ has him blind staggering drunk whereas other sites mention that he had a moderate smell of alcohol. Who knows what to believe now but I agree wholeheartedly with the optics being bad.
