Chiefs Monday Practice Injury Report

On a short week things get weird. Monday was essentially Wednesday, with the Chiefs first practice of the week.  Here’s your injury report for Monday’s practice.

Of course as Berry Watch continues its important to note Andy Reid reported on his status as “literally day to day” through a hushed chuckle. At this point Andy knows he’s trolling us, but he’s too close the the end game to stop now.

The important ones to keep an eye on in my opinion are Irving, Hill and Ware. Thats a good chunk of the offense we might be missing.  The Chiefs are 11-2 because they are winning with offense. Already without Watkins the team cannot afford to lose Hill.

It will also be interesting to see if Kelvin Benjamin gets his first start as a Chief Thursday night.  More to come on that as well I’m sure.

I heard Hill was on a leg scooter in between series. Even on a leg scooter he was faster than Dwayne Bowe.

So if Hill is a no go I’m going to be pissed. He had the wrist and he heel issue and they still had him on punt returns.

At that point with two significant ouchies in the game he should have been limited to WR only. No Special teams.

Oh well Toub is amazing!

West signing looks good for running back depth now that Spencer is down

Would still prefer Damien and Darrell see the majority of snaps if ware can’t go. But West will be especially key for pass pro on third and longs

I think it was Damien that played a lot last week? He’s good. let the kid run.

was about what I expected from the report. We obviously need Hill and I’m fairly certain even if he didn’t practice until wednesday he’d still play. Watkins on the other hand…

Heard on the radio this morning from supposed inside sources that Hill is most likely. Erving probably, and ware is the least likely

That’s the order I’d want them in.

I am cool with this. I am a bit relieved to hear Erving is ok for the year.

Ya getting him back is huge. If he were gonna miss the rest of the year we’d need to pray for LDT to come back

Well, we may not /need/ him to come back faster, but speedy recovery to LDT, we could use another Big Ugly, right soon.

Am I wrong that this is the ‘if we practiced this is our guesses at who would have done it’ report? On the super short week they make them put out an injury report, but the team didn’t actually do anything except a low speed walkthrough, if I understand correctly.

People wearing Broncos jerseys in Arrowhead is unnatural. Heck, people wearing Broncos jerseys at all is unnatural.

I hate it when people wear jerseys of a team not playing in the game. Why?

Maybe they aren’t a fan of either team and a friend invited them along for a good time, having a good time at Arrowhead isn’t restricted to just fans of the teams playing, or even to just fans of football. Anybody can come to Arrowhead and have a good time. And why should you get a say in who is allowed to have fun? We are seeing fans of every team wanting to watch Mahomeboy play, he is so incredibly fun to watch that he is breaking barriers.

Why not? I’ve done it before and I’m doing it again this weekend. I’ve got free tickets from work to see the cowboys come play the colts. I will be wearing my Houston jersey. Dafuq am I supposed to do with a colts or cowgirls jersey? I’m not turning down free tickets to an NFL game. I did it when i was in Denver as well, i went to the Seahawks game wearing my Berry.

I’m confused by these responses. There are no rules about having to wear a jersey to a game. I enjoy visiting other stadiums and experiencing that even when one of my teams isn’t playing, but i don’t wear my Royals gear to a Giants – Diamondbacks game when I visit San Fran

If the Chargers running game is hobbled, that helps us out immensely. I’m cautiously optimistic Hill will play. He was stepped on but apparently nothing was torn, strained or broken. As we saw Sunday, even a hobbled Hill is better than no Hill at all. I think Ware will be okay. Now if we can get Phylis to cry again, that will put the icing on the cake. Does someone have a gif of Reid bumping Rivers with his backside?

Gordon out will definitely help, but I think Jackson is actually better than Ekeler, at least as a runner.

I wouldn’t put tons of stock into it. Certainly hurts them on the passing side, however.

Lord, I had forgotten about Fat Kelvin. I’m guessing we might see him on a go route or two. He hasn’t been here long enough to have learned much of the offense, so I can’t see on us relying on him for much more.

RZ and backshoulder is how I view his usage. Everything else is asking for trouble. If Reid can scheme him open, I’ll truly believe anyone can.

If Dude can accept the role, i think Benjamin could work well in the slot…… kinda the way Arizona used to use Anquan Bolden. He and Kelce crossing the middle would really stretch and test the Chargers LBers and open up some running lanes.

If he’s smart, he says “yes coach” and does whatever asked wholeheartedly. He’s got a bad image right now, and not a lot of time to rehab it.
If he wants to stay in the league, he’d better be motivated.

Run to the corner of the endzone and jump!

All we need him to do, route wise.

The main thing he HAS to keep in mind -> NEVER stop on a route with Mahomes at QB. It can come at any time, from any angle.

Hill showed some real grit playing through the injury on Sunday. I didn’t notice a huge drop off in his routes but he looked hobbled after each play. I don’t think Ware’s injury will keep him from playing, but what the heck do I know. Jeff Allen seemed to do fine filling in for Cam, but I wasn’t watching him that closely TBH. Thursday games suck

Its hard to tell. The entire O-Line was overwhelmed the entire game by the Baltimore rush, so i can’t say the substitution of Allen made any discernable difference or not.

I am hoping for at least limited snaps from Berry. If he can get back into the swing of things for this game and be a full go for the next two it would help out the defense a lot.

It’s assimilation. We see it in Arabic with the definite article. “Min al-awwal” (“from the beginning”), when spoken, becomes “min-‘l-awwal”.
