A walk down memory lane:
”The Chiefs barely had time to savor their accomplishment (defeating the Raiders 17-7) before leaving for the Super Bowl. They arrived home shortly before midnight on Sunday, probably downed an Alka-Seltzer or two to settle the champagne they had had on the flight and Monday afternoon were back on another plane bound for New Orleans… Although three years had passed since the first Super Bowl and the Jets had defeated the Colts the previous year, the Chiefs quickly discovered that the fourth Super Bowl wasn’t going to be too much different from the first. The Vikings were made a 13-point favorite, and the doctrine of National Football League superiority was revived in its most virulent form.”
