The parallels between this and what’s happening in Ukraine are obvious, which shouldn’t be surprising to those who study history. Ol’ Vlad clearly has not, and so history repeats itself. Only more so, since the Soviets had Allied support, and Russia’s on her own now. Not only that, but they’ve soured trade relationships they’ve been planning around to finance other things. Bang, gone. So yeah, the following videos are instructive, as the similarities are chilling.
I regret to say that as I write this, I haven’t viewed them entirely. There are other factors in play behind that, but I watched enough of Ian to conclude that his commentary’s thoughtful, and well-grounded in history. As for K&G’s video, that was published in ’21, so it’s in a neutral context WRT current events.
