Winners And Losers: Chiefs Vs. Dolphins
5 repliesLet’s not kid ourselves.
It wasn’t the prettiest game, but the Chiefs held them to 10 points on their home turf, and scored 24. The started off hot, then cooled down for a while, then took control of the game…
🎶Three and oh-oh-oh-ohhh… oh-oh-OH-oh🎶 Tomahawk Chop.
Welcome to winners and losers!
Let’s get started, alright now.
Winners:
Patrick Mahomes
He went 20 for 24 for 246 yards, 2 td’s, and an interception that wasn’t his fault. He was a victim of fried Rice. He completed 14 play action passed out of the 14 he tried. Thanks K-9! The Chiefs ran the ball on over half their snaps.
Rashee Rice
If we ignore the interception, he went for 7 catches for 88 yards on nine targets. That led the team for the game.
Noah Gray
He had 3 receptions on 3 targets for 39 yards. A pretty good game for him. If he keeps that up, teams won’t be able to focus on just Kelce
Mansour Delane
We finally got a full game from him. He broke up passes, made a tackle for a loss on a screen and allowed only 24 yards for the game. He was second on the team with 10 tackles as well. I’ll take it!
Kenneth Walker III
He ran 18 times for 70 yards, pedestrian for him, but his presence has made the play-action work, which has been missing for us for a few years
Losers:
Defense:
Not so much for holding them to 10 points, but letting them move the ball so well. Many of the Dolphins had some of the best games for the year, maybe even their career. However, it seems that most years our defense starts slow for the first several games. But if they would allow fewer yards, it would help the offense in both field position and rhythm. The pass rush needs to get better as well, but I’m not sure if its because the QB is using a quick release, or we just suck. could be a little of both.
The Safeties
The dolphins weak receivers were burning the safeties repeatedly, giving too many big gains
Kahlil Benson
Even though he’s not playing his normal position, he struggled. Not good with Max Crosby coming next.
Speaking of the Raiders…
They are 3-0. The records of the teams they’ve played so far is a combined 1-8. We should be able to handle them, but you never know with this game. The raiders should be getting back in their groove the next few weeks as the play the Patriots, Bills, Rams.. then get a break against the Jets, and back to losing with the 49’rs..

I wonder how long before we hear the useless jaw-jackers say that the Raiders will win the division…
Depends on who wins this next game. It’s a doozy!
They gave up with the Chargers.
Excellent!
I would put the Defense on both lists.
Losers for the reasons you specified.
Winners for stopping the Dolphins on 4th down 3 times and forcing 2 turnovers. Basically like 5 turnovers.
good points.
