6:36 Rule changes
There’s more than just kickoffs
Win just one challenge, get a third
Calls for Roughing the passer and Intentional Grounding can be reviewed and overturned by the replay guy
Delay of game can be reviewed

if OT has a truly high upside, he’s THE guy needed for long-term Protection of the Franchise

far more important than a WR is the guy who keeps the QB alive

Moreover the high upside but raw tackles are the ones available at the end of round one. And gone before we pick again.

Have to choose OT or WR first and it’s a conundrum

upamtn
Reply to  Team Player
03/26/2024 7:36 pm

it’s a conundrum

tis indeed

thing is, OT is likely to take longer to get to that Really Really Good point than a WR, which is why (IMO) you take him and give yourself that much more time for a player of higher positional value

Around half the population is under 35. at that age, they don’t care about savings and all that. They spend whatever they have living life. kind of how it works. and they are paying off debts and that. Its kind of been that way for a long time.

I think if you are mansion hopping, going from big house to bigger house, it can screw things up, if you find a place you like, get a good rate, you start building up equity and stabilize your payment.

Generally, the bills from the hospital are incredibly high, but then the insurance knocks it down to a fraction of that, but it lets them write off a bunch of it so they don’t have to pay taxes.

so the kickoff’s will be wild

  • Coverage team will be lined up together. The other 10 players on the kicking team will be lining up at the receiving team’s 40-yard line. Each player has to have at least one foot on the 40 before the play can start. Also, the kicking team has to have five players on each side of ball, so they won’t be able to load up to one side.

As for the receiving team, their setup will be slightly different.

  • Most of the receiving team will be at the 35-yard line. The receiving team has a 5-yard setup zone that runs from its own 30 to its 35-yard line. Seven players from the receiving team must have their foot on the 35-yard line. The receiving team can also have two more players who are in the setup zone, but who aren’t touching the 35-yard line. Those two players will be lined up outside the hashes.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/cordarrelle-patterson-signing-with-steelers-why-new-kickoff-rules-could-unleash-former-all-pro-return-man/

I would just kick it out of the endzone and not allow any returns

Of course, we probably shouldn’t be surprised at all that the NFL changed its mind about Christmas this year and that’s because the holiday has been a highly successful one for the league. The NFL scheduled a tripleheader in 2023 and those three games averaged 28.7 million viewers, which is an astronomical number. All three games ranked in the top 10 for the most-watched regular-season games in 2023.
